2501: "RETURN TO ANIMARIA (1)"

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[Scenes and music from the Power Rangers: Wild Force finale are shown.]
NARRATOR:
In two thousand two, the Wild Force Rangers defeated the Orgs and their polluting ways in Turtle Cove. After surrendering their powers to Princess Shayla, the Animarium lifted into the sky, and the now-retired rangers would go their separate ways. Fifteen years later, they reunite.
EXT.-CITY-CEMETARY-DAY
[In the cemetary, three gravestones, belonging to Richard Evans, Elizabeth Evans, and Dr. Viktor Adler are seen. The six former Wild Force Rangers and their mentor friend, Princess Shayla arrive and gather at the graves for a reunion.]
COLE EVANS:
Thanks for coming, guys.
MERRICK BALITON:
Anytime, Cole.
DANNY DELGADO:
I can't believe that it's been fifteen years!
ALYSSA ENRILE SELLERS:
It was a special time for us...being Power Rangers.
COLE EVANS:
Especially when I met the other Red Rangers.
TAYLOR EARHARDT-MYERS:
And meeting the Time Force Rangers
MAX COOPER:
(teasing)
Especially Eric, the Quantum Rangers!
DANNY DELGADO:
(being sensitive)
Where is Eric, anyway?
TAYLOR EARHARDT-MYERS:
He's on duty back in Silver Hills.
NARRATOR:
Little do the former rangers realize, is that in space, a new threat to Turtle Cove and the Earth is approaching.
EXT.-OUTER SPACE-EARTH-NIGHT
[A strange, trident-shaped spaceship (THE ARK) approaches the planet.]
EXT.-EARTH-ANIMARIUM-DAY
[The Animarium floats peacefully among the clouds over the city. Suddenly, a portal opens, revealing triangular-shaped fighter ships (the TRI-FIGHTERS). The fighters open fire, and start attacking the island. The Wildzords try to intervene. The skies darken, and purple energy bolts cackle like lightning, releasing a torrent of rain and wind. Dark energy whips around the island, and stops on the Lion Wildzord's rocky lookout, and reveals four aliens...MOBIUS, a tall white and silvery being...ZOLDOS, a blocky blue being...CUZHO, a gold and silver being...and KINALI, a green and yellow being, and the lone female of the group. They are collectively known as the POACHERS.]
MOBIUS:
Ah, the Earth. Our Org cousins said that the Earth was protected by animals on a floating island, in the shape of a turtle. This must be it.
ZOLDOS:
Should be an easy target, my lord.
MOBIUS:
Yes...this place will make an excellent starting point for our conquest of Earth. Our one hundredth Hunting Game shall commence! Kinali...make all the preparations.
KINALI:
Yes, my lord!
CUZHO:
Excellent!
[The four alien beings celebrate.]
Predators! Attack!
[The Predas wreak havoc on the island on the ground and in the air. The enemy's energy bolts hit the majority of the one hundred Wildzords. Some are destroyed, and some just simply lose power.]
EXT.-CEMETARY-DAY
[While the seven reminice and catch up a bit, Shayla develops a severe headache and collapses.]
TAYLOR EARHARDT-MYERS:
(concerned)
Shayla!
MERRICK BALITON:
Something must be up on the Animarium. Let's get her back home!
[Merrick picks Shayla up into his arms, and the seven depart for the Animarium.]
EXT.-ANIMARIUM-NIGHT
[The remaining Wildzords attempt to dodge the attacks, but cannot. They become powerless, and lifeless, turning into giant gray animal statues. From a treehouse, a hooded warrior departs just as the Poachers leave the island. The hooded warrior reaches the temple just as daylight returns, revealing the vast destruction left by the enemy.]
MERRICK BALITON:
(as he and the others arrive)
Here you go, Shayla!
[Merrick places Shayla onto her bed. as the hooded warrior peeks in from a doorway.]
HOODED WARRIOR:
Is she going to be okay?
MERRICK BALITON:
Hope so. She needs to rest now.
[Merrick looks over the valley.]
What happened here?
HOODED WARRIOR:
Trouble.
[Animus appears, and awakens Shayla with his powers. She recovers to her feet, and sees the destruction, and becomes emotionally distraught.]
ANIMUS:
Rangers...it is good to see you again...but, I wish it were under better circumstances. The Poachers are responsible for this.
COLE EVANS:
Poachers? Who are they, and what can we do?
PRINCESS SHAYLA:
I'll tell you what can be done...I'll re-issue the Growl Phones and Merrick's Lunar Caller.
COLE EVANS:
I'm ready for action!
ANIMUS:
It will not be that easy, Shayla. The Wild Force Powers are not accessible.
[Shayla and the others look at the Growl Phones and the Lunar Caller...which are all "rusted."]
With the plight of the Wildzords, the powers are gone for now...but there is another way.
[Everyone looks at Animus with anticipation.]
MERRICK BALITON:
The Animarians!
PRINCESS SHAYLA:
I thought they had perished?
EXT.-CITY-TURTLE COVE HIGH SCHOOL-DAY
[That afternoon, the school bell rings to let the students out for the day. Five teenagers (COLT, SPENCER, GAGE, BENNY, and CALEB) all walk towards the park.]
FEMALE VOICE:
Hey, let's go to the park!
MALE VOICE:
Sounds like a good idea!
INT.-SPACE-THE ARK-MAIN CHAMBER-DAY
[The Poachers take in their surroundings.]
MOBIUS:
So, my old friend, Animus is still around. He won't stop at anything to protect the Earth. Zoldos! Take some Predas down to the city, and attack!
ZOLDOS:
Yes, my lord!
EXT.-CITY-PARK-DAY
[The five teens discuss their plans for the weekend at a picnic table.]
SPENCER COOPER:
So, what's everyone up to this weekend?
COLT EVANS:
I'll probably at the clinic helping my dad.
GAGE MYERS:
Got a new model jet to put together.
CALEB SELLERS:
Homework...got a report due tomorrow.
[Suddenly, several Tri-Fighters zoom over the city, and a platoon of Predas appear in the park.]
BENNY DELGADO:
(looking up at the fighters)
What are those!
SPENCER COOPER:
(looking over to the Predas)
And those!?
[The five do their best to fend off the minions until the hooded warrior arrives, and kicks some Preda arse with her spearstaff. The warrior then puts the hood down, and reveals her identity.]
SHIRA BALITON:
I am Shira...Princess of Animaria.
CALEB SELLERS:
I've heard of that name before...through my mother's stories!
SHIRA BALITON:
You five need to come with me.
[Suddenly, the six are ambushed by more Predas and Tri-Fighters. Shira quickly opens a portal, and everyone runs for it. The portal then closes after everyone enters it.]
INT.-ANIMARIUM-TEMPLE-DAY
[The portal opens up, and the six exit. The five teens look around in awe of their surroundings, then see their parents.]
GAGE MYERS:
(to Taylor)
Mom! What's going on?
ANIMUS:
Please, calm down, everyone. Do not be afraid. All will be explained. Through your biological D-N-A, you are destined to protet Earth...and Animaria.
[A white portal open up, and six humanoids in priest-like robes and horse heads exit the portal.]
LEAD PRIEST:
Greetings. We are Animarians from the dimension known as Cubitia.
ANIMUS:
Long ago, the Animarium was attacked by the Orgs, and the inhabitants of Animaria fled to Cubitia.
LEAD PRIEST:
With the most recent attack, the Wildzords are injured, and cannot power any rangers.
ANIMUS:
Fifteen years ago, your parents were the Wild Force Rangers, and fought the Orgs, who had resurfaced after a thousand years. The new enemy, the Poachers are cousins of the original Orgs, and have declared the Earth as their playground for their one hundredth Hunting Game.
SPENCER COOPER:
This is all a game to them?
GAGE MYERS:
So why can't our parents go and fight them?
TAYLOR EARHARDT-MYERS;
With the Wildzords damaged, our morphers are out of commission. We can't morph into rangers.
[The teens look at the rusted morphers.]
COLT EVANS:
(stepping forward)
What can we do to help?
LEAD PRIEST:
While on Cubitia, we developed new powers and technology to defend against the forces of evil. But, they are for a new generation of heroes. That is where you all come in.
INT.-OUTER SPACE-THE ARK-MAIN CHAMBER-DAY
[Mobius readies a Hunter to send to Earth.]
MOBIUS:
Dojaku! You will be the one to go down to Earth and play.
DOJAKU:
Those puny Earthlings won't know what hit them!
INT.-ANIMARIUM-TEMPLE-DAY
[The priests hand out white and blue cubes to the teens.]
LEAD PRIEST:
These cubes are your Safari Morphers. They will equip your with powerful suits to protect you in battle, and an arsenal to defend the Earth from the Poachers. The Wildzords were damaged in battle.
[The priests all use their staffs to transform the statuesque animals into small cubes, and they land on a table surface.]
The Wildzords have been transformed into a cube form to recover their powers. In time, they'll be able to transform into the new Safarizords.
[Five Zord Cubes all react, and transform their corresponding Morphers into a black and red cube in the hands of the teens. TO BE CONTINUED...]

The new rangers face the Poachers for the first time, but one of them is captured.
