FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: NIGHT RANGER INDUSTRIES/THE N.R.I.O. NETWORK TO CEASE OPERATIONS, PRODUCTION OF CURRENT ADAPTATION, "POWER RANGERS; SAFARI" CANCELED.
FRESNO, CA.-May 14, 2016...It is with deep regret that "NightRanger Industries" (with it's subsidiary, "The NightRanger Industries Online (N.R.I.O.) Network") is ceasing operations, and thus, the current current Super Sentai-To-Power Rangers adaptation, "Power Rangers: Safari" is officially canceled, effective immediately.
As the sourl "jack-of-all-trades" employee of all the productions (owner\writer\etc.), I feel that with recent "trials" within my family, I cannot devote the necessary time to write full seasons.
In 2012, I did not adapt Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters due to burnout. In 2013, the Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger adaptation was slowed to a crawl due to a move, and was finally finished in 2014...which delayed Ressha Sentai ToQger into oblivion. The adaptation of Shiuriken Sentai Ninninger in 2015 came to a abrupt end after only thirty-five (35) of a planned seventy-two (72) episode season due to a medical emergency of an immediate family member. And now, 2016, the adaptation of Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger is cancelled after only four (4) episodes out of a planned eighty-four (84) episodes due to the fallout of that situation, which still needs my attention.
This endeavour started in 2006 with the "Power Rangers III: Red Dawn" movie, and spawned four hundred sixty-three (463) episode scripts over the better part of a decade. The series' are listed below.

The blog (www.thenrionetwork.blogspot.com) will remain "up" so that the fans can read\re-read previous episodes (until Blogger decides to remove it); and I will still maintain the Facebook fanpage.
There is still opportunity that a few episodes will be produced from time-to-time, but whole seasons are done...at least for now. I would still like to due a feature movie script someday ("Power Rangers IV: Legacy").
There are plenty of fanfics out there by other writers that are very well-written. "Underground Blue" on www.rangerboard.com is one of those writers. He produced a Go-Busters adaptation that was very good, in my opinion.
I would like to take this time to thank the fans that have read my scripts over the last decade. I want to continue writing, but other situations are taking priority right now. This is not a good-bye from me to the fandom, and not a permanent good-bye from writing. I will always be a fan on the Super Sentai Series and Power Rangers franchises, and will still follow the seasons.

PRS #4-The Loose Cannon"

[The team scours the city, looking for Caleb...even putting out missing persons flyers.]
COLT EVANS:
(handing a flyer to a citizen)
Please, if you see him, call this number.
[The citizen nods her head in understandment.]
INT.-SPACE-THE ARK-LABORATORY-DAY
[Zoldos is working with perfecting Rhyax.]
ZOLDOS:
Soon, you will be the perfect "war machine" in our Hunting Game!
EXT.-CITY-DAY
[Overlooking a busy freeway, a Hunter, X-BOW, plans his attack, then fires his crossbow and destroys a few vehicles. The drivers barely escape the flames. Meanwhile, the Hunter attack attracts the senses of the team.]
GAGE MYERS:
There's a Hunter in the city!
SPENCER COOPER:
Let's go!
[Spencer, Gage, and Benny head to the scene. Back at the freeway, X-Bow leaps around onto the hoods of some moving vehicles to blast others, and surrounding vehicles maneuver out of the way. X-Bow lands on an overpass, and looks at the "bridge of destruction" as the three team members arrive, and starehim down.]
BENNY DELGADO:
So...you're the one behind off this!
X-BOW:
I am the Hunter, X-Bow...and I am on a hunt in this latest round of the Poachers' Hunting Game!
[The three reveal their Safari Morphers, and start the morphing sequence.]
ALL THREE:
Wild Access!
[The Safari Ranger suits form over the bodies of the three, who then charge into battle the Hunter in hand-to-hand combat.]
X-BOW:
Ah, this hunt just got interesting!
[X-Bow blasts the trio with his crossbow, and overpowers them. The three rangers go down, and X-Bow flees the scene.]
YELLOW SAFARI RANGER:
(running after the Hunter)
Come back here!
[The Yellow Ranger goes tumbling down a hill.]
Whoa!
[The Yellow Ranger comes to a landing...on his backside, and demorphs upon stopping. Spencer and Benny catch up to Gage.]
SPENCER COOPER:
You okay, Gage?
GAGE MYERS:
Yeah...just my ego's hurt!
BENNY DELGADO:
I wonder where Colt and Shira are...and why they didn't come to help us?
INT.-SPACE-THE ARK-MAIN CHAMBER-DAY
[Cuzho isn't happy at Zoldos when he finds his "pet project."]
CUZHO:
So...you've been working on something under my nose. Does Morbius know?
MORBIUS:
I do know. Do you have anything to report, Zoldos?
ZOLDOS:
I am about finished with him...but the subject needs some more...pizzaz.
MORBIUS:
I agree.
CUZHO:
I can see what I can do.
EXT.-CITY-DAY
[Colt and Shira are on a public transit bus ("Turtle Cove Transit") traveling through the streets of Turtle Cove. Meanwhile, X-Bow appears on an overpass, and aims his crossbow at the bus...and the dup senses the Hunter.]
X-BOW:
Ah, Bus Forty...right on time!
[X-Bow fires his crossbow, and misses the bus...but gets the car behind it. X-Bow lands on the street, forcing the cars to drive around him. Colt and Shira see X-Bow from the bus' rear window. Colt moves up to the front of the bus to talk to the driver.]
COLT EVANS:
Driver...you got to get away from that monster...you should step on it.
DRIVER:
Right!
X-BOW:
How about a interlude game of leap frog!
[X-Bow plays leap frog, and lands on top of the overpass, where he is met by the three already-morphed rangers, who have their Safari Blasters. The trio blasts the Hunter, who dodges the blasts. X-Bow leaps down onto the bus, and the three run after it...but are blasted.]
YELLOW SAFARI RANGER:
You know...I've about had it with this guy!
[Colt gets on top of the bus, and pulls out his morpher.]
COLT EVANS:
Wild Access!
[Colt morphs into the Red Ranger, and leaps onto the top of the bus with his Eagle Razor sword, and battles the Hunter, sword-to-crossbow.
RED SAFARI RANGER:
Beast Unleashed!
[The Red Ranger goes "Beast Mode," flies toward the bus after getting kicked off...but Shira fires her blaster upward from inside the bus,]
X-BOW:
Ooh...ow! Hot-foot!
RED SAFARI RANGER:
Incoming! Here is your stop!
[The Red Ranger swoops down, and kicks X-Bow off of the bus, and the coach continues on it's route after Shira, in her Animal Mode gets off.]
EXT.-CITY-PARK-DAY
[The Red Ranger flies in, and demorphs. Spencer, Gage, and Benny reunite with Colt and Shira.]
BENNY DELGADO:
(angerly)
Where were you two! We went to battle that Hunter, and you two didn't come!
SHIRA BALITON:
You could have called.
BENNY DELGADO:
(angerly)
How? Telekenisis?
SHIRA BALITON:
(holding up her morpher)
The morphers have a communications feature.
[X-Bow catches up to the quintet, and aims his crossbow at them.]
X-BOW:
There you are! And all together in one neat little package for Master Morbius!
COLT EVANS:
Not gonna happen, loser!
[The three reveal their Safari Morphers, and start the morphing sequence.]
ALL FIVE:
Wild Access!
[The suits form over the bodies of the five.]
RED SAFARI RANGER:
The Champion Of The Sky! Red Safari Ranger!
BLUE SAFARI RANGER:
The Champion Of The Seas! Blue Safari Ranger!
YELLOW SAFARI RANGER:
The Champion Of The Land! Yellow Safari Ranger!
GREEN SAFARI RANGER:
The Champion Of The Forest! Green Safari Ranger!
WHITE SAFARI RANGER:
The Champion Of The Artic! White Safari Ranger!
ALL RANGERS:
Raging Animal Spirits! Power Rangers: Safari!
X-BOW:
(tossing several silver coins into the air)
Predas!
[A platoon of Predas appear. The rangers battle the Predas using various techniques, and use the trees to their advantage, and eventually destroy the Predas.]
YELLOW SAFARI RANGER:
You're next, X-Bow!
[X-Bow leaps down from a tree, and blasts the rangers to overpower them. The rangers go down, and struggle to recover.]
GREEN SAFARI RANGER:
We have to get that crossbow away from him!
[X-Bow moves in to try to execute the Red Ranger, who faces the Hunter, and prepares for the attack. X-Bow fires the crossbow, but the Red Ranger sees it with his "eagle eyes," and uses his Eagle Razor to deflect the blasts.]
YELLOW SAFARI RANGER:
No way!
WHITE SAFARI RANGER:
It's the power of the eagle! His eyesight is getting sharper!
[X-Bow blasts again, but the blast is deflected again.]
X-BOW:
(shocked)
What?!
ALL RANGERS (except Red Ranger))
Beast Unleashed!
[The four rangers attack the Hunter with their specialty attacks, and X-Bow is sent flying backward. The four reunite, and return to their default ranger form.]
ALL RANGERS:
(with their sidearms, convert to Sword Mode)
Safari Slice!
[X-Bow sparks, then cackles in light blue energy bolts, and collapses backward in a stream, and explodes. The rangers pose victoriously. Kinali telports in, and places a Continue Coin into the coin slot on the Hunter's body. X-Bow revives and enlarges.]
RED SAFARI RANGER:
We need the zords!
[The five rangers pull out their ocarnias, and blow into them to summon the Safarizords, which then appear in their default giant size. The rangers then board the giant, robotic machines, and log on.]
ALL RANGERS:
Safarizords, Ready!
[The rangers maneuver their zords into position to battle the Hunter, who then fires his crossbow, and buries the Tiger and Elephant Safarizords.]
RED SAFARI RANGER:
Gage! Benny! You guys okay?
YELLOW SAFARI RANGER:
We will be...you guys form the megazord, and take him down for us!
RED SAFARI RANGER:
Right!
[Three square "rings" appear. Eagle, Shark, and Lion go through, and combine. Elephant and Tiger try to go through...but bounce off. The three rangers all press the blue button, followed by "1+2+3," and twist the cube to the correct pictogram, and insert back into the control cube. The trio of zords convert to cube form, and stack on top of each other. A rod inserts into the top, and turns to reveal the face, and the rest of the rod exits the top to form the sword. The megazord forms.]
ALL THREE RANGERS:
Safari Megazord, Ready! Safari Saber!
[The begazord and X-Bow battle toe-to-toe with their respective weapons. The Hunter then surprises the rangers when he fires lasers from his eyes, and pin the megazord to another rock-face. X-Bow fires his crossbow to bury the megazord froms the waist down.]
X-BOW:
I got you now, rangers!
[The other two zords escape their burial in cube form, and "sandwich" the Hunter.]
BLUE SAFARI RANGER:
Colt! You need to disengage the Eaglezord from us. Join up withe the others, and get us out of here!
RED SAFARI RANGER:
Right!
[The Eaglezord disengages from the others. Three square "rings" appear. Eagle, Elephant, and Tiger go through, and combine. The three rangers all press the blue button, followed by "1+3+5," and twist the cube to the correct pictogram, and insert back into the control cube. The trio of zords convert to cube form, and stack on top of each other. A rod inserts into the top, and turns to reveal the face, and the rest of the rod exits the top to form the sword. The megazord forms.]
ALL THREE RANGERS:
Safari Megazord...Pachy Tiger Mode!
[X-Bow opens fire on the megazord, but the robot is able to dodge the blasts...which start fires below. Suddenly, a small black cube appears, and glows in an orange aura as it becomes an orange cube. The Red Ranger puts the cube into his palm, and the cube exits the cockpit. The cube enlarges, and forms into the almost eighty-one foot tall SAFARI GIRAFFEZORD. The enlarged zord speeds toward X-Bow at two hundred forty miles per hour, and attacks the Hunter as the five rangers watch and react.]
BLUE SAFARI RANGER:
My father told me about the Giraffe Wildzord...the Spear of Pardolis! This must be it's Safari form!
[X-Bow fires on the Giraffe, but the zord dodges, and returns fore with it's one hundred fifty million megavolts of power. The Giraffe then forms into the GIRAFFE-ZOOKA for the megazord to hold as a weapon.]
ALL THREE RANGERS:
Safari Megazord...Pachy Blaster Mode!
[X-Bow prepares to fire his crossbow, but the rangers counter with the finisher.]
Zooka Blast!
[X-Bow loses his crossbow, and the Hunter cackles in red energy bolts before collapsing and exploding in defeat. The megazord poses victoriously with the new weapon.
INT.-SPACE-THE ARK-LABORATORY-NIGHT
[Cuzho enters the lab, and looks at the cage with Rhyax in it.]
CUZHO:
Let me see what I can do with you.
INT.-ANIMARIUM-TREEHOUSE-DAY
[The team returns, all five relax in various spots discussing the new zord, and still vow to find Caleb.]
SPENCER COOPER:
(as her father, Max enters)
Dad! Look!
MAX COOPER:
The Giraffezord!
COLT EVANS:
We will find you Caleb. I know that you're out there somewhere!
