EXT.-BATTLEFIELD-DAY (1908)
[The Ancient Beast-Spirit Warriors, consisting of Master Tao and six others battle the three evil Almozar Dark-Spirit Masters, and an army of Banshee soldiers.]
NARRATOR:
(as the two sides battle)
One hundred years ago, three ancient warriors skilled in the ancient art of the Beast-Spirit decided to defect, and use their skills for evil purposes. The seven remaining warriors stayed and fought the defectors...now called the Almozar, defeated, and sealed them into the Demon Bracelet, which is to be sealed the day of a lunar eclipse for protection, or the spirits of the fallen Almozar can escape. As a curse, the warriors were transformed into their spirit beasts...the remaining seven warriors decided to go their separate ways until they were needed again.
EXT.-CITY ZOO-DAY (2006)
[Master Tao sets out to recruit three students to practice the Light-Spirit Style, and to someday become Jungle Rangers. He starts with a zoo-keeper named Jordan Franklin.]
MASTER TAO:
Excuse me...are you Jordan Franklin?
JORDAN FRANKLIN:
Yes I am...can I help you?
MASTER TAO:
How would you like to tame a different beast?
INT.-CITY-ART GALLERY-NIGHT
[Master Tao approaches Yoshi, who looks like he is having a bad night.]
MASTER TAO:
Yoshihiro Tanaka?
YOSHI TANAKA:
Yes?
MASTER TAO:
How would you like to paint a different picture?
EXT.-CITY-PARK-ANIMAL RIGHTS PROTEST
[Master Tao approached Abby, who has just finished a speech.]
MASTER TAO:
Abigail McHenry?
ABBY McHENRY:
Please call me Abby. Now, what can I do for you?
MASTER TAO:
How would you like to save the planet in a different way?
EXT.-JUNGLE FURY ACADEMY-GROUNDS-DAY
[Three days later, the three new recruits report to the academy.]
MASTER TAO:
Students...welcome to the Jungle Fury Academy. I am Master Tao, the head-master, or principal, if you will of this establishment. I put this training center together to teach you the art of an ancient martial arts technique called the Beast-Spirit.
YOSHI TANAKA:
Excuse me...Sensei...what would this training be used for?
MASTER TAO:
You will learn the Beast-Spirit, and someday become Power Rangers to defend the planet from the evil Almozar...a race of beings bent on global domination and conquest. This week, you will begin training...the more skills learned, the better chance at succeeding.
EXT.-FOREST-DAY
[Six months later, Jordan walks through the woods on a day off, when he hears a voice.]
VOICE:
Jordan!
JORDAN FRANKLIN:
Who's there!
VOICE:
A friend who knows what absolute power is like. Power that that fool Tao cannot give to you!
JORDAN FRANKLIN:
I'm listening...what do you want me to do?
VOICE:
Come to Volwind Mountain. There, you will find the answers you seek.
EXT.-VOLWIND MOUNTAIN-DAY
[Jordan arrives.]
JORDAN FRANKLIN:
Hello?
(yelling)
I'm here!
[It starts to storm with thunder and purple lightning bolts.]
VOICE:
Jordan...the weak human that wants absolute power. Jordan...the weak human who wishes to be more. Jordan...the human who's wish is coming true!
[A streak of purple lightning strikes Jordan, turning him into a lion-like being clad in gold and black armor, named LIONIX.]
LIONIX:
(looking at his new form)
What is this!?
VOICE:
Forget your meager Light Tiger-Style training, and emmerse yourself into the Dark Lion-Style...from now on, the name Jordan Franklin is dead...you are now Lionix.
LIONIX:
The Beast-Fist shall fall!
VOICE:
Now, go to the nearby graveyard...use your new powers to awaken your army, and prepare to rule the Earth!
[Both the voice and Lionix laugh maniacally.]
INT.-JUNGLE FURY ACADEMY-PIPER'S OFFICE-NIGHT
[Master Tao senses something wrong.]
PIPER McCALL:
Tao...what's wrong?
MASTER TAO:
Piper...have you seen Jordan anywhere?
PIPER McCALL:
Last I saw, he went on a walk in the woods. Why?
MASTER TAO:
I fear that he may have gone astray. The others will be notified when the time is right.
PIPER McCALL:
You're right. It is best that they do not know the truth right now.
INT.-JUNGLE FURY ACADEMY-SECRET ROOM-DAY
[In 2008, Piper prepares the Demon Bracelet to be sealed away on the day of the lunar eclipse. As she walks down a hallway with the case, she passes a window to the gym, where Yoshi and Abby are sparring.]
INT.-ALMOZAR PALACE-DAY
[REPTIZA, a Chameleon-like humanoid brings in a newly upgraded Banshegata named MANTISKO, a practicer of the Dark Mantis-Style to meet Lionix.]
LIONIX:
The Demon Bracelet is due to be sealed today is preparation for tonight's eclipse. Reptiza...bring me a Banshegata worthy of power.
[Mantisko enters.]
REPTIZA:
Master Lionix...I present to you...Mantisko...a Mantis-Fist warrior.
LIONIX:
Excellent. Now, go and retrieve the Demon Bracelet!
MANTISKO:
Yes, sir!
[Exit Mantisko.]
LIONIX:
With the Demon Bracelet, the Dark-Spirit Masters shall be free, and the Almozar will flourish once more...an crush those that stand in our way!
EXT.-CITY-AIRPORT-DAY
[Piper prepares to board a white Cessna-like aircraft, which then departs.]
MASTER TAO:
(seeing Piper off)
I sense that there will be dark days ahead. I hope Yoshi and Abby will be ready.
