INT.-RIO MESA-GALLEON-MAIN ROOM-DAY
[The three crewmembers (who are able to) oogle over DeAndre’s note.]
NIKKI BUCHANAN:
He was acting a bit weird yesterday.
BROCK CRANSTON:
In battle, as Shireikan was about to clobber him, it looked like he saw a ghost of his past.
[Nikki starts to use her morpher to call DeAndre.]
COLIN SCOTT:
(waking up, still in pain)
Leave...him be. He’ll...be fine.
[Colin sits up a bit.]
More importantly...what’s...for breakfast?
[The rest of the crew seem relieved.]
FLASHBACK
[DeAndre continues to walk down the sidewalk. As he walks, he takes a stroll down memory lane. He remembers his first assignment for the Zangyu...to slaughter innocent civilians...kids to be exact.]
SCURVY:
Your first assignment...kill them!
[He can’t do the task, and is immediately labeled a coward after being beaten up. A Scurvy wants to show how it’s done, but DeAndre defends the kids as they escape. DeAndre wakes up with a tracking collar around his neck. Ray comes in and beats the two Foiler guards, then helps DeAndre.]
RAY CHACON:
The Zangyu lied to us...we have to hide!
[Foilers and Scurvies look for the two.]
This is where we part ways. You escape this darkness...you hear me! We will see each other again, my friend.
[Ray comes out of hiding, and is promptly attacked by the minions.]
EXT.-RIO MESA-INDUSTRIAL ZONE-DAY
[DeAndre arrives in the area where Shireikan lost his sword, sees it sticking in the ground. A minute later, Shireikan arrives to reclaim his sword.]
DeANDRE TAYLOR:
Ray! I know you can hear me in there! You got to snap out of it!
SHIREIKAN:
I told you before...this “Ray” you speak of is apparently no more. I am Shireikan...servant to Prince Kraken and...
DeANDRE TAYLOR:
...The Zangyu Empire...blah, blah, blah. NO! You are Ray Chacon! You and I fought against the Zangyu tyranny!
[Shireikan punches DeAndre in the gut to grab his sword. DeAndre has his musket at the ready, and starts to perform Ray’s move.]
SHIREIKAN:
Are you trying to imitate me!?
DeANDRE TAYLOR:
No. I am imitating Ray Chacon...my friend!
[DeAndre unleashes the attack, but Shireikan catches it with his sword, and deflects it for a large explosion.]
SHIREIKAN:
I serve Prince Kraken in the Zangyu Empire. Ray Chacon is dead for all intensive purposes.
[Shireikan starts to walk away, but DeAndre doesn’t give up. The two clash swords again.]
DeANDRE TAYLOR:
You must remember!
[The cyborg gets a bit rough during the struggle, and tosses DeAndre aside. His morpher goes flying as the Zangyu general leaves. An emotionally drained DeAndre rests on the ground, desperate for answers, and starts to break down.]
I won’t forget you, Ray!
INT.-OUTER SPACE-STAMPEDER-BRIDGE-DAY
[Shireikan returns with his sword.]
KYATSU:
Where did you go, Shireikan?
SHIREIKAN:
II do not have to answer to you, Kyatsu. But...if you must know, I went to reclaim my sword.
[Kraken cowers in pain.]
SANBO:
Should we cancel this operation?
PRINCE KRAKEN:
No! I want those rangers to pay for what they did to me. Delzei! Go down there, and obliterate them!
DELZEI:
Yes, sire!
INT.-RIO MESA-GALLEON-MAIN ROOM-DAY
[Colin continues to eat vigorously.]
TALIA NOIMI:
What make you guys so sure your friend will come back?
COLIN SCOTT:
(as flashback scenes from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers-Seasons One and Two play)
Simple. We all have been friends for a long time. Our parents were the Morphin Rangers in nineteen ninety-three, and fought in over eighty intense battles together against the likes of Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd, who worked for the monarch of all evil, Dark Specter. We’ve known each other basically since birth. I went to Onyx to rescue DeAndre from the Zangyu for his parents. Soon, the ships monitor activates.]
voice of DELZEI:
Come out, come out wherever you are, rangers!
TALIA NOIMI:
Let me help.
COLIN SCOTT:
(as he slowly gets off of the couch)
No thanks...I think we’ll be able to manage that freak. Let’s go, guys!
EXT.-RIO MESA-INDUSTRIAL ZONE-DAY
[The Galleon flies in.]
DELZEI:
Right on cue!
[On the deck are the four available crewmen, who grab their morphers and keys, and morph into Hero Rangers. Elsewhere in the area, DeAndre ponders Ray, and lays down, but quickly sees his morpher, and remembers his ranger duties. Meanwhile, the rangers battle the minions with the cutlasses.]
EXT.-FOREST-DAY
[DeAndre runs from one side of the Industrial Zone to the other by using the forest as a shortcut..]
EXT.-RIO MESA-INDUSTRIAL ZONE-DAY
[The Red Ranger changes into the Red Chi Ranger, and battles in hand-to-hand combat before changing into the Red Overdrive Ranger to use his Drive Lance before changing into the Red Wind Ranger to use the Hawk Blaster and Ninja Sword. The Yellow Ranger transforms into the Yellow Light Ranger and kicks minion butt before transforming into the Yellow Space Ranger to use the Star Slinger. She then transforms into the Yellow Dino Thunder Ranger to use the Ptera Grips. The Green Ranger changes into the Green Agent Ranger to use his boomerang weapon to battle before changing into the Green Zeo Ranger to use boxing moves to take out some minions. He then changes into the Green Beast Ranger to use the sword to finish off some minions. The Pink Ranger changes into the Pink Electro Ranger to use the gauntlets to punch out several minions before transforming into the Pink Super Nova Ranger to attack several more minions with her boot weapons. She then changes into the Pink Time Force Ranger to attack with her Chrono Sabers.]
DELZEI:
You might as well give up, rangers!
RED WIND RANGER:
(as he flies in with his air-walk power)
We don’t know the meaning of the word, Delzei!
[The Red Ranger kicks the Scallywag, but he powers up his sword to blast the four. They all de-morph and collapse, but soon recover to the feet.]
EXT.-FOREST-DAY
[DeAndre stops in his tracks when he meets Talia and Paolo.]
PAOLO NOIMI:
We no longer want the keys, Mister Taylor. In fact, we have something to help you...in exchange...defeat those Zangyu scum for us.
DeANDRE TAYLOR:
We will try our best.
TALIA NOIMI:
We are heading back to our base. But...this is the Dupli Disc. Use it when you morph into the Blue Kendo Ranger...and it will give you two Kendo Razors.
DeANDRE TAYLOR:
(bowing to Talia)
Thank you. I must get to my friends. They probably need my help.
[DeAndre takes off on another sprint as Talia and Paolo continue on their way.]
EXT.-RIO MESA-INDUSTRIAL ZONE-DAY
[The four crewmen battle the minions, and struggle against them while unmorphed, then are thrown into a pile. Just when things look hopeless for the four, the enemy gets blasted...by DeAndre’s Crossbone Musket.]
ALL:
“D!”
DeANDRE TAYLOR:
Sorry I’m late, guys. You okay, Colin?
COLIN SCOTT:
I am now. Let’s take this horned-freak down!
ALL TEENS:
(with their morphers and keys)
It’s Morphin' Time!
voice of MORPHER:
Hero Power!
[The suits "full-form" over the quintet.]
RED HERO RANGER:
(posing)
Red Ranger!
BLUE HERO RANGER:
(posing)
Blue Ranger!
YELLOW HERO RANGER:
(posing)
Yellow Ranger!
GREEN HERO RANGER:
(posing)
Green Ranger!
PINK HERO RANGER:
(posing)
Pink Ranger!
ALL RANGERS:
(posing)
Heroes Setting Sail For Adventure! Power Rangers, hya!
[The Red and Blue Rangers perform their back-to-back fighting technique with their swords (Red has one, Blue has two) to battle about six minions.]
DELZEI:
How do you guys have so much energy...even all that I put you through!
[After defeating the minions, the rangers face Delzei, and utilize the Kendo Power Keys. They are inserted into the morphers, and turned.]
voice of HERO MORPHER:
Kendo Power!
ALL RANGERS:
Spirits Of The Orikami! Kendo Razors!
[The rangers charge into battle with the Kendo Razors, and melee-battle the Scallywag. The Red Ranger spins the Red Kendo Disc on his razor, and the weapon transforms into the Fire Striker.]
RED KENDO RANGER:
Fire Striker! Magma Slicer!
[The Blue Ranger installs the Dupli Disc onto his razor, and spins it to produce a second Kendo Razor.]
BLUE KENDO RANGER:
Let’s rock!
[The Blue Ranger leaps into mid-air to battle Delzei, but the Scallywag gets kicked down to the ground. The rangers then power down back into Hero Rangers as Delzei finds himself dumbfounded.]
DELZEI:
How’d you get so powerful all of a sudden?
RED HERO RANGER:
Simple...teamwork and friendship.
[The rangers load their Power Keys into their Crossbone Cutlasses, and execute the Hero Wave to make Delzei cackle in blue energy bolts, and explode. Soon, pink beams come out of the sky, and Delzei revives and grows. He then goes on a rampage, and starts slicing skyscrapers with his sword. Soon, he is met by the Hero Megazord’s Wild Mode.]
ALL RANGERS:
Heroic Mega Roar!
[The megazord blasts and slices Delzei, but the Scallywag uses his sword to deflect the blast and slices. Delzei fires at the megazord as it gallops past the blasts. Soon, the megazord comes to a screeching halt when the Kendo Ranger Power Keys fly up into mid-air in the cockpit, and glow.]
GREEN HERO RANGER:
The Kendo Keys are glowing!
RED HERO RANGER:
Grab them and insert them!
[The five rangers grab the keys, and insert them into the control panels, and turn them. The Wild Mode of the megazord begins to transform into the new Kendo Mode. The megazord gallops along, as it puts the swords away so they can form a dual-bladed staff. The head of the Lion Wildzord forms onto the chest as other parts insert into the opened-up areas of the robot. The megazord’s hat is put on, and the robot grabs the staff as the opened-up parts fold down to reveal the Kendo element symbols.]
ALL RANGERS:
Hero Megazord...Kendo Mode!
DELZEI:
Neat trick...my turn. Scurvies!
[Three or four dozen Scurvies materialize, and face the megazord, which uses it’s staff to battle them. The megazord revs up some energy to execute a energy spin to take out all the Scurvies, which all explode. The megazord then uses it’s staff to deliver a couple powered-up strikes to the Scallywag to make him go down, then puts the staff away.]
ALL RANGERS:
Fire Striker!
[A giant Fire Striker materializes in the megazord’s right hand. The blade flames up.]
Heroic Sword Slash!
[The megazord drops the weapon blade first to slice Delzei in two. The Scallywag explodes and the megazord poses victoriously.]
EXT.-RIO MESA-NIGHT
[As the sun sets, the team watches the beautiful sight from a railing. As the five leave for the ship, Colin collapses from his injuries, and the other four help him back to the ship.]

NEXT TIME ON POWER RANGERS: THE NEXT GENERATION...
Episode #17. DesperateMeasures
Nikki decides to go for a excursion to a marketplace, where she is kidnapped by a desperate young man, but the events are blurred when a Scallywag stirs up trouble while looking for a dangerous substance from a meteorite, which is in the kidnapper’s possession.
