[Gabe and Austin come out of Gabe's office.]
GABE CRENSHAW:
And so...that's how we ended up here. I think the others would like to hear more about you.
AUSTIN BALDUCCI:
Hi, everyone. I know that all of this is so sudden. Let me explain myself to you. See...I was a part of the top secret ranger program about a year ago to test the technology...sort of like a guinea pig. When three Alliance members were located on Triforia, I was immediately pressed into service, and severely injured during the subsequent battle. I was placed into a medical induced cryo-stasis to heal my injuries. When the attack happened, I guess the cryo-stasis was cut-off, and I slowly woke up...yesterday, and to an alien releasing those three Alliance members...which I destroyed...since they were heading for here.
HEATH REGAN:
Well...we're glad that you're here.
[The core five officers welcome Austin to the team. Suddenly, the alert klaxon sounds...a power plant is being attacked.]
ALL CORE OFFICERS:
(preparing their morphers)
Star Morpher, Insert Card! Activate!
AUSTIN BALDUCCI:
(preparing his morpher)
Star Cell Morpher, Insert Card! Activate!
[The suits "flash-form" over the six officers, who then depart the base.]
INT.-CITY-INDUSTRIAL ZONE-POWER PLANT-NIGHT
[The six rangers arrive, and investigate...since there is nothing showing.]
YELLOW STAR RANGER:
There's nothing here!
SILVER STAR RANGER:
There's gotta be something here!
[Suddenly, a steam vent blows right into the Silver Ranger's face.]
I'm okay.
[The six keep investigating. While the Red Ranger talks, the Silver Ranger starts to feel the effects of the steam.]
RED STAR RANGER:
I don't see anything!
[The Silver Ranger then uses his Star Sniper to blast the others.]
What are you doing!?
[Parts of the plant's pipework spark as the core rangers try to get through to Silver.]
EXT.-FOREST-GRAVEYARD-DAY
[That morning, Akui and Ingu exit the hatch that leads from their underground lair. Akui waves his cane staff to resurrect MUMPUPPET...A Yomazho Monster that wraps his victims like a mummy to control them like a puppeteer.]
MUMPUPPET:
I am Mumpuppet...Akui...Ingu...your wish is my command!
[The four enemies start to formulate a plan.]
EXT.-CITY-INDUSTRIAL ZONE-POWER PLANT-DAY
[The core rangers continue to fight against their new comrade. Soon, the plant explodes, and the Silver Ranger snaps out of the mind control that had him. He then checks the scanning device on his morpher.]
RED STAR RANGER:
What happened to you, Austin!?
SILVER STAR RANGER:
I...I don't...know! The last thing I remember is being hit with that steam!
RED STAR RANGER:
Well...let's get back. I want Doctor Billington to check you out.
[The six rangers depart the power plant, head back to the base.]
INT.-CITY-TELEVISION STATION (KGVL-TV)-DAY
[A female anchor wraps up a newscast. As soon as the cameras go off, she talks with a crew-person. Suddenly, the studio lights go out as Mumpuppet appears in the anchor chair, and on a monitor.]
MUMPUPPET:
(formulating a plan)
So, that is the power of television!?
[He then stands, and uses his staff to wrap up the people in the studio.]
I shall use this modern power to recruit more slaves!
[Mumpuppet begins to put his plan into action.]
INT.-MOUNTAINS-OPSCOMM-RECREATION ROOM-DAY
[The team tries to figure out why Austin turned on them. On the television monitor, the "mind-controlled" news anchor is promoting bandage wrap in a commercial.]
DIEGO MAXA:
(clicking the remote)
It seems to be on every channel!
[Suddenly, wrapping comes through the monitor, and wraps up a chair. The chair then suddenly turns into a pile of white dust.]
HEATH REGAN:
Let me see that remote!
[Heath grabs the remote out of Diego's hands, and shuts off the television.]
Come on, everyone...the Yomazho are up to no good!
[The team departs the base, and heads to the station.]
EXT.-CITY-PLAZA-DAY
[Due to an outdoor monitor, various citizens get all wrapped up like a mummy due to the bandages coming out through it. The six officers run to the scene to help the citizens, who are then confronted by a blue and red being.]
UPACRA:
Hello, rangers...long time no see!
[Upacra's taunt puzzles the officers a bit.]
When you last saw me, I was known as Cometosis...but I was just using those pansy Alliance generals as a pawn for the Yomazho!
[The officers immediately "flash-morph" as Upacra unleashes the Cparisects onto the six, who then charge into battle the minions. Meanwhile, inside the building, Mumpuppet releases his barrier bandage, which resembles a yellow caution tape that says "keep out" to put a protective barrier around the station. Soon, the rangers defeat the Caprisects.]
RED STAR RANGER:
We defeated your Caprisects like always...
BLUE STAR RANGER:
...Cometosis...or, Upacra...whoever you are!
UPACRA:
I need to keep you fools busy...Caprisects!
BLACK STAR RANGER:
(as more minions appear)
We'll take care of these freaks too!
[The core rangers un-holster their Star Pistols, and charge at Upacra and the Caprisects once more. The general vanishes as the Silver Ranger comes in his Adapter form, and tries to get into the building, but cannot due to the protective barrier.]
SILVER STAR RANGER:
Lion Adapter, Transform! Zord Mode!
[The Adapter then merges with a large dump truck to transform into the massive Lion Starzord.]
Lion Starzord, On Duty!
[The massive zord tries to ram it's way into the building, but the other rangers have a plan...to tunnel their way in.]
BLACK STAR RANGER:
Insert Card! Power Of The Guardians! Rhino Adapter!
YELLOW STAR RANGER:
Insert Card! Power Of The Guardians! Beetle Adapter!
[The two Land Division rangers install the Adapters onto their Star Pistols, and fire at the ground to create a large hole. The five core rangers go underground to get into the basement of the building.]
INT.-CITY-TELEVISION STATION-DAY
[Once inside, the five rangers investigate...but are met by some resistance.]
PINK STAR RANGER:
Caprisects!
[The five start to battle the Caprisects, even up a stairwell as they try to go up a level. Once on the next level, they are met by zombified station employees.]
RED STAR RANGER:
Mumpuppet must be controlling them somehow!
BLACK STAR RANGER:
Kyrie and I will hold them back...you guys go get that bandaged freak!
YELLOW STAR RANGER:
We'll catch up!
RED STAR RANGER:
Right!
[The Black and Yellow Rangers work on getting the zombified station employees outside. Soon, the others get Mumpuppet outside as well.]
EXT.-CITY-PLAZA-DAY
[Once outside, the six rangers prepare to face the monster, but are blasted by Upacra. The six rangers recover to their feet, and power up, and pose.]
Guardian Of The Stormy Sky! Red Star Ranger!
PINK STAR RANGER:

Guardian Of The Breathtaking Sky! Pink Star Ranger!
BLACK STAR RANGER:

Guardian Of The Rocky Land! Black Star Ranger!
YELLOW STAR RANGER:

Guardian Of The Fertile Land! Yellow Star Ranger!
BLUE STAR RANGER:

Guardian Of The Surging Sea! Blue Star Ranger!
SILVER STAR RANGER:

Guardian Of The Beautiful Earth! Silver Star Ranger!
ALL RANGERS:

Protectors Of Earth! Power Rangers: Star Guardians!
[The rangers battle Mumpuppet all a while keeping the zombified humans at bay. The Silver Ranger uses his own Rock Rush card to attack the monster, then is wrapped in bandages by Mumpuppet.]
MUMPUPPET:
I will control you, Silver Ranger!
SILVER STAR RANGER:
Hydro Jet!
[The Silver Ranger frees himself, then uses his own Thunderspark card to attack the monster, but Mumpuppet uses his bandages to try and whip Silver, who counters with his Star Razor.]
Silver Star Slash!
[The Silver Ranger slices through the bandages, then forms his Gatling Sniper.]
Gatling Blast!
[Mumpuppet is defeated, and the zombified humans return to normal. Soon, the Cyclobats appear, and revive the monster to make him grow.]
Guys! Call on your zords!
[The five core Starzords appear, and quickly form the Star Megazord.]
BLUE STAR RANGER:
Insert Card! Power Of The Guardians! Sea Adapters!
ALL CORE RANGERS:
SeaStar Megazord...Formation Two!
[The Hammerhead and Stingray attach onto the right and left hands respectively as the Marlin attaches onto the chest. The Marlin strikes to make Mumpuppet spark.]
MUMPUPPET:
Have some sand...Sandstorm! Sand Slapper!
[Mumpuppet envelops the megazord in his sand, then uses his bandages to slap the robot. The Sea Adapters are then released.]
BLACK STAR RANGER AND YELLOW STAR RANGER:
Insert Card! Power Of The Guardians! Land Adapters!
ALL CORE RANGERS:
Land Star Megazord...Formation Two!
[The Rhino and T-Rex attach onto the right and left hands respectively as the Beetle attaches onto the chest. The megazord strikes with Rhino's drill, then pinches with Beetle's horns to toss Mumpuppet around before releasing the Adapters for the default ones.]
RED STAR RANGER:
HyperStar Megazord!
[The Hyper Megazord and the rest of the Adapters appear, and combine with the Star Megazord.]
ALL CORE RANGERS:
HyperStar Strike!
[The attack from the combined megazord strikes Mumpuppet, who explodes. The core rangers celebrate in the cockpit, then rejoin the Silver Ranger on the ground to celebrate some more.]
UPACRA:
(spying on the sextet)
I must come up with a plan to get rid of that Silver Ranger!
[The six rangers de-morph, and head home, thinking all is well. TO BE CONTINUED...]

Episode #25: Pride Of The Lion (6)
The rangers take some deserving kids and their parents to the fair, but are ambushed by Avishtick. Diego must come to grips with himself when the monster kidnaps the kid that he is assigned to escort, and injures her mother. Meanwhile, Upacra captures the Silver Ranger to use his powers to destroy the Earth.
