EXT.-CITY-DAY
[Several Zangyu Fleet ships hover over the dojo. Chains descend from the ships and release a massive swarm of Foilers, a few Scurvies, and Sanbo.]
EXT.-CITY-PARK-DAY
[The five teens see the invasion force, and continue to watch in awe. As they see the invaders creep up to and enter the dojo, they start to freak out a bit. The five continue to watch the invaders, and try to comprehend what they are seeing.]
INT.-CITY-PARK DOJO-DAY
[The Zangyu invasion force enters the dojo. Various citizens try to flee.]
SANBO:
I am General Sanbo of the Zangyu Empire! I demand to know the location of the secret entrance to Power Mountain...and the Universal Morphing Grid!
HAYLEY OLIVER:
Why do you want to know?
SANBO:
So I can destroy it!
TOMMY OLIVER:
You will never gain access to Power Mountain nor the Morphing Grid! Come on, guys!
[The five former rangers stand up to confront the enemy.]
SANBO:
You five...are the originals!
JASON SCOTT:
...And still the best!
[After a few minutes of putting up a valiant fight, and defeating some Foilers, the Scurvies restrain the five.]
You won't get away with this!
SANBO:
Why don't you all just sit down and be quiet...Powerless Rangers!
[The five sit down under protest.]
You don't have to be so cocky!
[Billy takes out a cellular phone, and quickly sends out a text message.]
EXT.-CITY-PARK-DAY
[Brock takes his cellular phone out of his pants pocket.]
BROCK CRANSTON:
Should I call the police?
KERI SCHMIDT:
I think this would be way out of their league.
[Suddenly, Brock receives Billy's text.]
BROCK CRANSTON:
It's from my dad...it says that they're fine, and there is a way to help them.
NIKKI BUCHANAN:
How?
BROCK CRANSTON:
We got to gain access to the dojo's basement. Sounds dangerous!
DeANDRE TAYLOR:
It is dangerous...I love it!
COLIN SCOTT:
Come on, guys...our parents need us! Let's go!
[The five head for the doors of the dojo.]
INT.-CITY-PARK DOJO-DAY
[While the Zangyu are busy with their captives, the five sneak into the entry hall, and enter a door leading down to the building's basement. Billy sees them.]
KERI SCHMIDT:
(quietly)
The coast is clear!
INT.-CITY-PARK DOJO-BASEMENT-DAY
[The quintet descend the stairs in the dark, dank basement. It is so dark, that the five use their various mobile devices to give them some light.]
NIKKI BUCHANAN:
It's so dark down here!
[Hiding among some boxes and crates is Hayley...Kieran's mom.]
HAYLEY OLIVER:
What are you five doing down here!?
COLIN SCOTT:
We were outside when those tin cans landed. Mr. Cranston sent Brock a text, telling us that there is a way to save them up there?
HAYLEY OLIVER:
(as she takes a television remote-like item from her pocket)
There is.
[Hayley presses a few buttons.]
Follow me.
[A wall at the landing a few steps up liquefies. Hayley and the others then enter the vortex, and vanish from the basement.]
INT.-CITY-PARK DOJO-DAY
[The hostages continue to be harassed by the Zangyu force.]
EXT.-OUTER SPACE-DAY
[The lead Zangyu ship, the Stampeder, arrives in Earth orbit.]
INT.-MOUNTAINS-POWER MOUNTAIN-DAY
[The six arrive in a large, darkened room. Hayley presses another button on her device to activate some lights. Under the lights, the teens see several display cases along the curved walls, also lit up to reveal ranger helmets of the past and future.]
COLIN SCOTT:
Where are we?
HAYLEY OLIVER:
This is Power Mountain. A secret base of the Power Rangers...your parents.
KERI SCHMIDT:
There's no way my parents were Power Rangers...they're into gymnastics!
HAYLEY OLIVER:
The fathers of Colin, DeAndre, and Brock...and the mothers of Keri and Nikki were Power Rangers along with my husband in nineteen ninety-three. They fought the forces of Rita Repulsa right here in Angel Grove. Someday you will learn more of your heritage, and how all Power Rangers lost their ability to morph three years ago. Right now, your parents are in that dojo, being held hostage by a remnant of their past.
NIKKI BUCHANAN:
How are we going to help them, Mrs. Oliver?
HAYLEY OLIVER:
(while showing the Power Keys and Hero Morphers)
With these and these. These devices are your Hero Morphers. And these are your Hero Ranger Power Keys.
[The five teens still do not look convinced.]
You five are the only ones who can save your parents...and the universe from the Zangyu...as the newest team of Power Rangers.
BROCK CRANSTON:
I thought that the ranger powers were lost.
HAYLEY OLIVER:
It is true that the ranger powers were lost from the Morphin Grid, but your powers come from the new Power Grid. There is minimal power to generate for the past rangers...that's where the Power Keys come in.
COLIN SCOTT:
Let's go rescue our parents...and kick some Zangyu butt!
INT.-CITY-PARK DOJO-DAY
[The Zangyu invasion forces continue to berate the hostages.]
BILLY CRANSTON:
(quietly)
What is taking them so long!?
TOMMY OLIVER:
(quietly)
Easy...they'll be here. I just hope Adam will be okay with what is about to happen.
[Suddenly, the five walk in like normal customers, wanting to order a smoothine.]
COLIN SCOTT:
Yes, we would like five smoothies.
SANBO:
we are kind of busy here!
KERI SCHMIDT:
Yes, the customer is always right!
[The five start to fight the Foilers and Scurvies unmorphed for a bit.]
COLIN SCOTT:
come on you sissies! Come get us!
[The teens go outside to fight.]
EXT.-CITY-PARK DOJO-PARKING LOT-DAY
[The teens confront the Zangyu forces, then reveal their Hero Morphers and Hero Ranger Power Keys..]
ALL TEENS:
(as they insert their keys into the morphers)
It's Morphin' Time!
[The suits "fully-form" onto the quintet, who then utilize their Crossbone Cutlasses and Crossbone Muskets against the Foilers.]
RED HERO RANGER:
Let's get to work, guys!
[The five rangers battle the Foilers, and make quick work of them before Sanbo and the Scurvies retreat.]
Now let's go get our parents!
HAYLEY OLIVER:
(coming outside with the parents)
Beat you to it, rangers!
TOMMY OLIVER:
Let's go back inside, guys!
[The teens and their parents go back into the dojo.]
INT.-OUTER SPACE STAMPEDER-BRIDGE-DAY
[Sanbo returns, and isn't very happy/]
SHIREIKAN:
So, did you obtain the location of the Morphing Grid?
SANBO:
Not a single word, Shireikan!
KYATSU:
Well, this new little toy will enlarge our forces to make sure no one gets in our way!
INT.-MOUNTAINS-POWER MOUNTAIN-DAY
[The teens are told more of their heritage, and of the war of 2012.]
BILLY CRANSTON:
The Morphing Grid had burned out when we used too much power to drive the Zangyu away.
COLIN SCOTT:
So...how do we have power?
HAYLEY OLIVER:
That is because we put your powers, and the remnants of our powers through something new...the Power Grid. You will have access to those remnant powers through more Power Keys.
BILLY CRANSTON:
The only way to restore all ranger powers and the Morphing Grid is to seek the greatest treasure in the universe...the four jewels of the Morphing Masters.
[Suddenly, warning beeps come from a computer system. Tommy checks it out.]
TOMMY OLIVER:
Guys, wed got company...the Zangyu fleet is in Earth orbit.
HAYLEY OLIVER:
Rangers...you have your own fleet of vehicles in your arsenel...Zords.
BILLY CRANSTON:
Colin, you will pilot the Galleon Powerzord. DeAndre...you will pilot the Fighter Powerzord. Brock, yours is the Speeder Powerzord. Keri, the Truck Powerzord is yours. And Nikki...you will be the pilot of the Submarine Powerzord. When combining forces, you can combine your Powerzords to form the Hero Megazord. The most agile megazord in history.
COLIN SCOTT:
Come on, guys...we got a job to do!
EXT.-OUTER SPACE-GALLEON POWERZORD-DAY
[The Galleon Powerzord sails the stars.]
voice of RED HERO RANGER:
Galleon Powerzord! Full Steam Ahead!
INT.-OUTER SPACE-GALLEON POWERZORD-COCKPIT-DAY
[The Red Ranger sits in the cockpit as the others prepare to battle the Zangyu.]
voice of YELLOW HERO RANGER:
It's so beautiful out here!
RED HERO RANGER:
Prepare the weapons!
voice of BLUE HERO RANGER:
Artillery batteries are ready!
RED HERO RANGER:
Okay...here they come!
INT.-OUTER SPACE-ZANGYU FLEET VESSEL-BRIDGE-DAY
[The Foiler crew is led by a Scurvy commander.]
SCURVY COMMANDER:
Foilers! Fire at will!
INT.-OUTER SPACE-GALLEON POWERZORD-COCKPIT-DAY
[The Red Ranger prepares to defend the universe with the others below decks. TO BE CONTINUED...]
