EXT.-CITY-DAY
[Chris and his date walk down a sidewalk. In their way, a dark and smoky aura blocks their way...and Chris looks like he’s seen this being before.]
JEWELER:
Stop! Thief!
GIRL:
What is that, Chris!?
CHRIS RUTLEDGE:
(looking at the empty store)
Go on without me. I’ll call you later.
[The girl reluctantly leaves the area as Chris follows the being.]
INT.-CITY-WAREHOUSE-DAY
[The being is a DavroMon...CLEPTOCLOAK, who moves quickly among the cardboard boxes and wooden crates...until he is blasted by Chris and his Paleo Blaster.
CLEPTOCLOAK:
What was that!?
BLACK PALEO RANGER:
(coming out of the shadows)
Me, you overgrown bird. You should be caged! That cape!?
[The Black Ranger continues to blast his Paleo Blaster wildly at the DavroMon, all while leaping over the boxes and crates. The DavroMon then shoots at the Black Ranger, who goes rolling just as the others arrive.]
PINK PALEO RANGER:
Are you okay?
[The other four rangers open their buckles, and grab their Paleo Chargers, and insert them into their Paleo Blasters, and roll the barrels down their right arms to activate their Jurassic Armor and charge in with their Jurassic Weapons. The rangers do fine at first, but the DavroMon starts to overpower the quartet. The Black Ranger recovers enough to aim his blaster at Cleptocloak, and at a weak spot on him.]
BLACK PALEO RANGER:
Cleptocloak! Forget about me?
[The Black Ranger fires his blaster, but the DavroMon dodges, and grabs the Red Ranger to ensnare him in the cloak...like a human shield.]
RED PALEO RANGER:
Take the shot!
[The Black Ranger hesitates to take the shot.]
FLASHBACK: The Black Ranger remembers how his old friend was in the same predicament back in Germany.
[The hand of the Black Ranger quivers uncontrollably, making him drop his blaster. The four others are in shock as the Black Ranger puts his hands onto his helmet in fear.]
PINK PALEO RANGER:
Come on!
[The Pink Ranger with her Jurassic Lancer, and the Blue Ranger with his Jurassic Shield double team Cleptocloak to rescue the Red Ranger. The Green Ranger slices and dices Cleptocloak with his Jurassic Slicer, then grabs a Paleo Charger and loads it into his Paleo Blaster.]
GREEN PALEO RANGER:
Brave Finish!
[The blast from the Green Ranger drives Cleptocloak away.]
RED PALEO RANGER:
(checking on the Black Ranger)
Are you okay?
BLACK PALEO RANGER:
Just leave me alone!
[The Black Ranger walks off.]
RED PALEO RANGER:
That voice...?
INT.-SACRED GROUND-DAY
[Everyone, except for the Black Ranger returns to the base.]
CHIKYU:
Welcome back, rangers. The time may come to use the Jurassic Spear...unfortunately, the Paleo Charger to operate it is missing.
ALL FOUR:
(shocked)
What!?
[Daric has a felling that he knows who has the battery. Suddenly, Chilyu senses the wind.]
CHIKYU:
Rangers! There’s trouble in the city!
EXT.-CITY-STADIUM-DAY
[Cleptocloak taunts a civilian painter, who loves the scenery. Soon, the four rangers arrive on their Dino Cycles, and strike-attack the DavroMon. The four get off of their cycles, and face the DavroMon.]
BLACK PALEO RANGER:
Move aside....I got this!
[The blaster-wielding Black Ranger performs a hand-spring flip over a car, aims, shoots at the DavroMon to create sparks. The Black Ranger then loads the Kentaurus Paleo Charger into his Paleo Blaster, and shuts the weapon. The battery has a powerful overloading effect as the ranger fires his blaster. The weapon recoils, sending the Black Ranger toward the others as Cleptocloak retreats. The Red Ranger tries to catch the Black Ranger, but both are thrown into a parked car, which explodes. The Red Ranger is forced out of morph as Black recovers. The jolt even forced the Black Ranger’s blaster to expell the Paleo Charger.]
PINK PALEO RANGER:
Daric!
[The Black Ranger recovers to his feet as the other three de-morph, and rush to check on their comrade.]
DARIC KAYSON:
(to the Black Ranger)
Are you okay?
INT.-SACRED GROUND-DAY
[The five regroup at the base.]
MIKO INOUE:
Are you crazy!?
DARIC KAYSON:
Miko...it’s okay. You know...the power from this Paleo Charger ma be too much to use alone. I propose that we work together...Chris.
[Everyone is in shock. When the Black Ranger de-morphs, everyone is REALLY in shock.]
CHRIS RUTLEDGE:
I can’t stand to watch people injure themselves due to their own stupidity. That’s why I work alone.
[Chris then walks out after placing his four #2 Paleo Chargers down onto the table.]
EXT.-CITY-WATERFRONT-DAY
[Chris sits on a bench when Daric walks up, sits next to him.]
DARIC KAYSON:
There you are. Ever since Clepto-freak showed up, you have not been acting like yourself. What’s up!?
CHRIS RUTLEDGE:
If you really must know...
[Flashback scenes play out]
...I once studied ancient civilizations. During a visit to France about a year ago, with my friend, Shawn Miller, we were looking for a certain artifact of an ancient race. We did find it, but were then intercepted by Cleptocloak, who had wrapped Shawn up in his cloak. I had aimed my sidearm at the monster to shoot at an opening, but my shot missed, and the monster unleashed multiple tentacles to stab Shawn,,,and kill him. I was then blasted over the castle wall, and tossed into the drink several hundred feet below. I then woke up in a grassy field only to see Chikyu and Cephala staring back at me, and that’s when Chikyu handed me a petrified Paleo Blaster to become a warrior of the dinosaurs.
DARIC KAYSON:
Until you make that shot, you will forever live in regret, Chris.
[An annoyed Chris then walks off.]
EXT.-CITY-STADIUM-DAY
[Cleptocloak has returned, and starts stealing the cityscape. The three other team members arrive to see the destruction.]
ROBBIE MENDOZA:
What are we gonna do? The Paleo Chargers are still recharging!
DARIC KAYSON:
(arriving to join the trio)
Simple...we fight until they are recharged. Chris will probably join us in a bit.
[The four then charge in, and Daric jumps, kicks Cleptocloak in the back to reverse his theft. The DavroMon is sent rolling, but recovers to his feet, to be flanked by Aigar and Lukuro.]
AIGAR:
That stings! MaZoDe!
[A couple dozen minions materialize in front of the evil trio. Both sides then charge into battle. The quartet seem to be doing well at first for a few minutes, until the evil trio get in on the action, and overpower the four. Chris watches the battle from a distance.]
CHRIS RUTLEDGE:
That Daric is a bit nosy...but...he’s right.
[The four then get tossed into a pile, and looks worse for wear with scrapes, cuts, and bruises...but Daric gets up, and charges at Cleptocloak...getting wrapped up in the cloak again. Something then suddenly blasts the two generals, enveloping them in a fireball.]
CLEPTOCLOAK:
What!?
[Cleptocloak turns to see Chris aiming his Paleo Blaster at him. The other four are happy to see him.]
DARIC KAYSON:
[Chris gets ready as Cleptocloak reveals his tentacles.]
You can do it!
[Chris fires his blaster, and hits the make on the DavroMon’s chest to force him to release Daric. Cleptocloak is sent into Lukuro and Aigar, and Daric is sent into Chris’ arms. All five team members unite as Chikyu arrives with the charged Paleo Chargers.]
CHIKYU:
Rangers! Catch!
CHRIS RUTLEDGE:
Now, you’re going down!
[The five individually one after the other insert their batteries into their Paleo Blasters, close the device. The five then simultaneously spin their barrels, and shout the morph command.]
ALL FIVE:
Let’s Rock!
[The five aim the weapons upward before pressing the triggers. The Paleo Ranger suits fly around, and form over their bodies, letting them become Paleo Rangers, who then appear on the top of a building.]
RED PALEO RANGER:
(posing in front of colored smoke)
The Fanged Hero! Red Paleo Ranger!
BLACK PALEO RANGER:
(posing in front of colored smoke)
The Blasting Hero! Black Paleo Ranger!
BLUE PALEO RANGER:
(posing in front of colored smoke)
The Armored Hero! Blue Paleo Ranger!
GREEN PALEO RANGER:
(posing in front of colored smoke)
The Slicing Hero! Green Paleo Ranger!
PINK PALEO RANGER:
(posing in front of colored smoke)
The Sharp Heroine! Pink Paleo Ranger!
ALL RANGERS:
(leaping down)
Jurassic Mode...engage!
[The Jurassic Armor and Jurassic Weapons form onto the right arm of the quintet, who pose in front of a massive explosion.]
We are the bravest heroes! Power Rangers...Paleo Strike!
INT.-CITY-WAREHOUSE-DAY
[The rangers battle Cleptocloak, Aigar, and Lukuro with their weapons. Against Aigar’s axe, the Blue and Green Rangers double team the War Knight of Sadness with their weapons, including a punch from the Blue Ranger’s Jurassic Shield, then the Green Ranger slices and dices with his Jurassic Slicer to create sparks. The Pink Ranger battles Lukuro with her Jurassic Lance. Then stands up on the shoulders of the general as he flails a bit, then leaps down to slice him. The Red and Black Rangers dodge and explosion, followed by the Black Ranger firing his Jurassic Blaster, followed by multiple punching attempts from the Red Ranger and his Jurassic Fang. The Black Ranger continues to blast Cleptocloak, but he continues to dodge the blasts. The five soon come together to regroup a bit.
RED PALEO RANGER:
(holding up the Kentrosaurus Paleo Charger)
We need to combine our weapons!
ALL RANGERS:
(as the five weapons piece together)
Jurassic Spear!
[Everyone puts their hands and arms together in a way to allow the Red Ranger to leap onto them as a springboard to grab the weapon, and fly toward Cleptocloak.]
RED PALEO RANGER:
Jurassic Spiker!
[The Red Ranger execute’s the weapon’s finisher to make Cleptocloak cackle in red energy bolts and sparks before exploding as the rangers pose victoriously. Aigar and Lukuro approach the remains of the DavroMon, and the Lukuro pours water from his watering can to revive and enlarge the DavroMon.]
EXT.-CITY-STADIUM-DAY
[The five rangers rush outside to witness the DavroMon cackle in bluish energy bolts as it grows.]
BLACK PALEO RANGER:
(as he grabs a Paleo Charger from his belt buckle)
I got this...Cephala!
[The Cephala Paleozord arrives, firing it’s laser tail at the DavroMon, who then tosses the Paleozord into the Tyranno Paleozord. The Velociraptor Paleozord arrives as well. The Red, Black, and Green Rangers then summon a Megazord combination.]
ALL THREE:
Paleozords...combine!
[Tyranno, Cephala, and Velo all combine into the Paleo Megazord...Defender Mode. In the cockpit, the three rangers insert their Paleo Blasters into the control columns. Cleptocloak blasts the megazord with orb-like items, the the megazord dodges and blasts back, bouncing off of a building, and continues blasting with the right arm (Cephala). The megazord stands put, and blasts some more, then flips over Cleptocloak to slash with the left arm (Velo).]
Paleo Defender Finish!
[The Velo claw produces a gren energy orb, then the Cephala blaster launches the orb at the DavroMon, to make him explode into a fireball. Later, the five un-morphed rangers marvel at the loot expelled by Cleptoclok’s destruction.]
DARIC KAYSON:
Do you see that jewel, Chris?
CHRIS RUTLEDGE:
Nah. It’s not here. I’ll let it be...for now.
ERUTAN:
(materializing)
I do not believe in material possession...but I will do what is right, and return these to their rightful owners.
[Erutan uses his powers to make the loot vanish.]
INT.-ANTARCTICA-FROZEN CASTLE-NIGHT
[Aigar is a bit saddened after Cleptocloak’s defeat, and the loss of his cloak. He then grabs a small box, and opens it to reveal the jewel that Chris and Shawn lost a year ago.]
