EXT.-OLD WEST-MAIN STREET-DAY
[The rangers, on the ground, get up. They notice that they are in the old west, complete with cowboys and stage-coaches.]
JAZZ RUSSO:
Where are we?
[The group sees a newspaper.]
KENNY TANAKA:
(picking up the paper, then shows it to the others)
Guys...it's the Stone Canyon Times...it's today...but we're in nineteen-oh-eight (1908)!
DILLON HARRINGTON:
One hundred years in the past!?
[The citizens look at the five students, strangely.]
SHAWN PATRICK:
(sniffing the air)
Guys...we're not alone here.
YOSHI TANAKA:
Yeah...you're sensing the Almozar.
SHAWN PATRICK:
No...I sense an Akugata...about a mile or two away.
[The students race to confront the Akugata, but only find two citizens fighting.]
JAZZ RUSSO:
Where is he!?
SHAWN PATRICK:
He's here!
YOSHI TANAKA:
Where!?
[All of a sudden, an anglerfish-like monster "un-possesses one of the citizens. The monster is named MAKUA.]
MAKUA:
Hello, rangers!
[The students insta-morph into ranger form.]
ALL RANGERS:
Spirits of the jungle! Power Rangers, roar!
MAKUA:
Ooh! I'm so scared! My mission is not to battle you...I'm after Lionix and the Rhino Summoner...but, come get me...if you can find me!
[Makua possesses the man again, then leaves the area. The older man, who was Makua's victim, hands the Yellow Ranger an envelope when she checks up on him.]
OLDER CITIZEN:
(weak, handing over the envelope)
Here...you folks saved me from that...that hideous creature. I...I want you to...have this.
[Before the Yellow Ranger can ask more, the citizen falls unconscious.]
YELLOW JUNGLE RANGER:
Sir!?
ROYAL WOLF JUNGLE RANGER:
What does it say, Jazz?
YELLOW JUNGLE RANGER:
(reading the envelope's contents)
It says that the school-teacher and her assistant have information on...the Beast-Spirit Supreme Master!
RED JUNGLE RANGER:
Let's go!
YELLOW JUNGLE RANGER:
There's more...it says to beware of the Beast Spirit Cousins.
BLUE JUNGLE RANGER:
Cousins?
WHITE RHINO JUNGLE RANGER:
We better get to the schoolhouse.
INT.-OLD WEST-SCHOOLHOUSE-DAY
[Later in the day, the five students meet with the school-teacher, and her assistant.]
JAZZ RUSSO:
So...what does this mean?
SCHOOLTEACHER:
Ah...it means that the spirit of the stampeder is at the palace...and is contained within a small dagger, which is in the lion's hands. Also, a fish creature is after the daggger as well.
YOSHI TANAKA:
The lion?
KENNY TANAKA:
Lionix!
SCHOOLTEACHER:
You five must overtake the palace in order to secure the dagger...a find your way back to your own time.
DILLON HARRINGTON:
(pointing to an area of writing)
What does this mean about the cousins?
SCHOOLTEACHER:
That...I, or my assistant do not know. No go...there is much work for you to do.
[The students leave the schoolhouse, and return to the streets.]
EXT.-OLD WEST-MAIN STREET-DAY
[About a few minutes later, the students don period clothes to blend in more better. They go to a grassy area to plot the raid on the palace.]
SHAWN PATRICK:
Now...here's what we'll do...
EXT.-FOREST-TREE OF LIFE-DAY
[In the present day, the Beast-Spirit Masters continue the battle for the Sacred Ground.]
EXT.-OLD WEST-PALACE-NIGHT
[The students, in their uniforms, get ready to storm the palace.]
JAZZ RUSSO:
Okay...everybody ready?
[The others not their heads.]
Let's go!
[The five open the doors, but are met b an army of Banshees, and Makua.]
MAKUA:
Shucks! You found me! Oh, well! Welcome, rangers! In order to get me...you'll have to go through them!
[The five students prepare to morph.]
CORE STUDENTS:
Jungle Fury...
KENNY TANAKA:
Wolf Fury...
DILLON HARRINGTON:
Rhino Fury...
ALL STUDENTS:
...Beast On!
[The ranger suits form over the quintet. The rangers then battle through the Banshees, which takes several minutes. As the rangers finish the Banshees, the Almozar enter and join the rangers in facing Makua, as it begins to snow.]
LIONIX:
This...monster was sent by the Dark-Spirit Masters to defeat me, and take the Rhino Summoner.
RED JUNGLE RANGER:
How about we work together to defeat him?
LIONIX:
Sounds good...for now.
[The gang of seven battle Makua. After a while, Makua grows.]
MAKUA:
Akugata Growth!
[The core rangers and Almozar call for their auras.]
RED JUNGLE RANGER:
Aura of the tiger!
BLUE JUNGLE RANGER:
Aura of the panther!
YELLOW JUNGLE RANGER:
Aura of the cheetah!
LIONIX:
Aura of the lion!
REPTIZA:
Aura of the chameleon!
ALL:
Auras release!
[The five auras are released. The five uneasy allies enter the auras as they turn into zords.]
Beast-Spirit Unity!
[The five zords join together to form a new megazord.]
Jungle Fury Megazord...Beast Spirit Mode! Transformation complete!
[The megazord and Makua ready for battle.]
MAKUA:
Fish Flash!
ALL:
Beast-Spirit Saber! Spinning Spirit Slash!
[The meazord spins, and slashes Makua, who then explodes. The core rangers race to rejoin Kenny and Dillon. Lionix and Reptiza grab the Rhino Summoner (which was stuck in the ground, blade down), and open a portal to the present. The ranger students race to go through the portal as well, before it closes.]
EXT.-FOREST-TREE OF LIFE-DAY
[The seven arrive, only to see the tree fully engulfed in flames.]
ALL STUDENTS:
(a long dramatic scream)
No!
[The flaming tree collapses.]
