EXT.-JUNGLE FURY ACADEMY-TEMPLE-DAY
[The staff and students are at the temple making New Year's wishes, although Shawn is a bit hesitant.]
MASTER TAO:
Shawn...what are you waiting for?
SHAWN PATRICK:
I...don't know what to wish for.
PIPER McCALL:
Well...how about making a wish for your father?
[Shawn approaches the temple.]
INT.-ALMOZAR PALACE-DAY
[Gryphar trains in front of his generals as Draco talks about Chimeres...and how his soul was resurrected.]
MASTER DRACO:
Long ago, when that Light-Spirit loser died at the hands of the king, I gave his soul the ability to...take on a whole new life...as Chimeres. Chimeres...you and I must train, in order to defeat the rangers...especially your son.
[Chimeres and Draco exit the palace. Baz and Gryphar leave the room, neglecting Fyriza, who feels a bit sorry for the way Chimeres is.]
INT.-JUNGLE FURY ACADEMY-CLASSROOM-DAY
[Tao is talking to the team.]
MASTER TAO:
Rangers...I sense that the Phantoms are planning something. They have enough power to where they will stop at nothing to defeat you.
SHAWN PATRICK:
(sensing the Phantoms)
I can sense that Draco...and...Chimeres are in the forest. I want to be the one to deal with my father...alone.
[Shawn runs out of the academy.]
EXT.-ALMOZAR PALACE-TEMPLE-DAY
[To calm herself, Fyriza walks around outside. Hadeshound ambushes her, but she deflects the attack.]
HADESHOUND:
Hello there, Fyriza! We need to talk.
MISTRESS FYRIZA:
I don't think so, dog breath!
HADESHOUND:
You betrayed my brother, in your own chameleon way!
MISTRESS FYRIZA:
I don't know your brother!
HADESHOUND:
You destroyed him...
[Fyriza looks clueless.]
...he was one of the Venoms...and a Dark Snake-Style warrior.
MISTRESS FYRIZA:
Cobrix!
HADESHOUND:
That's right! That is why I don't like you. Besides...I only answer to Chimeres and King Gryphar!
MISTRESS FYRIZA:
Look...I only destroyed him for betraying the Dark-Spirits...he was going to assassinate the king.
[Hadeshound departs in anger.]
EXT.-CITY-DAY
[About an hour later, a young couple is siting on a bench. The male then gets up off the bench, and gets on one knee to propose marriage to the female, and presents a ring to her. After saying "yes," the couple kisses just as a dark, black collar-like device ensnares them, and other citizens. The collars start to act like shock-collars, and it's victims sink to the ground in some discomfort. Hadeshound throws another, but the Yellow Fury Ranger deflects it as the Blue Fury Ranger and the White Rhino Ranger join her side.]
YELLOW FURY RANGER:
Bad doggie!
WHITE RHINO JUNGLE RANGER:
There's a leash law in this town!
BLUE FURY RANGER:
You're in the doghouse now!
YELLOW FURY RANGER:
To the pound with you!
HADESHOUND:
Wait...where's the other two?
[The three rangers charge the Phangata.]
EXT.-FOREST-DAY
[Shawn runs through the forest. He then senses the monster attack in the city. He turns a bit to head for the battle, but then hears the "flute playing," like when he first encountered his father. Chimeres plays the small flute while Draco watches.]
INT.-CITY-INTERNET CAFE-DAY
[Pengi is sitting in a leather-bound lounge-like chair while talking on a cellular telephone, and in front of a table with a silver laptop computer on it. Kenny enters, and stands by the small, round coffee table.]
MISTRESS PENGI:
Kenny? What are you doing here?
KENNY TANAKA:
(presenting Pengi with a wrapped fish)
I need a favor from you.
MISTRESS PENGI:
What can I do for you?
KENNY TANAKA:
I need you to teach me a skill?
MISTRESS PENGI:
(eagerly)
Which one?
KENNY TANAKA:
The Apex Strike.
[Pengi about spits out her drink.]
MISTRESS PENGI:
Grand Master Sai's master skill? Oh, Kenny...I don't know!
KENNY TANAKA:
It's for me to help the other rangers...the skill can defeat the Phantoms once and for all.
MISTRESS PENGI:
Okay...but it'll be a test of endurance.
KENNY TANAKA:
I'm ready for whatever the training throws my way.
MISTRESS PENGI:
We'll meet in the forest near the waterfall in about thirty minutes.
[The two depart the cafe.]
EXT.-CITY-DAY
[The three rangers continue to battle Hadeshound.]
EXT.-FOREST-DAY
[Shawn runs to the sound of the flute. Chimeres stands up and turns to battle Shawn.]
SHAWN PATRICK:
Father! If I can't break you free from the Phantoms, then I must destroy you.
[Shawn insta-morphs into his Fury Mode, and battles Chimeres some more as Draco continues to watch. As the Red Ranger tries to kick Chimeres, the Phantom uses Gel Shield, a Dark Frog-Style attack, and knock s the Red Ranger to the ground.]
RED FURY RANGER:
That move belongs to Ribbitor!?
[The Red Ranger recovers and charges Chimeres again, but the Phantom uses Whip Stinger, a Dark Scropion-Style attack on him. Meanwhile, Fyriza quietly arrives and hides behind a rock to spy on both Draco, and the battle. Chimeres then uses Snap-Jaw, a Dark Crocodile-Style attack on the Red Ranger to make him spin around horizontally in mid-air. The Red Ranger falls, and struggles to recover.]
A...move of...Lockjaw's!?
EXT.-JUNGLE-WATERFALL-DAY
[Kenny and Pengi arrive and prepare for the lesson.]
MISTRESS PENGI:
Welcome to Forest Falls...the site for this lesson. Kenny, in order to learn the Apex Strike, you must train in one of the harshest conditions...under this waterfall.
KENNY TANAKA:
In there? Okay.
[Kenny un-zips his uniform jacket and takes it off before he gets into the water to begin his training.]
EXT.-CITY-DAY
[Hadeshound prepares six more of his ring-collars and tosses them into the air. The rings then attack the three rangers, who then spark.]
HADESHOUND:
(catching the rings)
You three rangers alone are pathetic!
[Hadeshound tosses three of the rings to the rangers, and they wrap around the rangers' necks. The rangers react as the ring collars start shocking the trio, weakening them.]
EXT.-FOREST-DAY
[The Red Ranger recovers, and charges Chimeres again.]
RED FURY RANGER:
(running with his Fury Claw)
Snap out of it! Fury Tiger!
[The Red Ranger uses his Fury Claw to attack Chimeres. He then "flys" to Chimeres to claw him, but stops short.]
I can't...hurt you...you're my father...look into your heart!
[The Red Ranger drops to his knees, and Chimeres picks him up, and punches him back, and out of morph. Draco then makes his presence known.]
MASTER DRACO:
Good work, Chimeres...now, finish him!
[Chimeres then punches Shawn several times in the face, and a few times in the stomach.]
SHAWN PATRICK:
(as Chimeres grunts)
You're...my father...act...like...it.
[The words seem to soothe the savageness of Chimeres, making Draco very mad.]
MASTER DRACO:
(infuriated)
Destroy him! I order you!
MASTER CHIMERES:
You can't order me! I don't answer to you!
[Chimeres and Shawn hug.]
EXT.-FOREST-WATERFALL-DAY
[Kenny continues to train under the waterfall.]
EXT.-CITY-DAY
[The three rangers are still receiving a beating from Hadeshound, who tosses more rings around, but are deflected by the White Rhino Ranger.]
WHITE RHINO JUNGLE RANGER:
Rhino Dagger! Twister Barrage!
[The White Ranger blasts the flying collars with his Rhino Dagger in Blaster Mode.]
Rhino Cutter!
[The White Rhino Ranger transforms his weapon into Blade Mode and slice-strikes Hadeshound with it. The three rangers then surround the Phangata.]
ALL RANGERS:
Ultra Triple Attack!
[The thee rangers use their weapons in tandem to defeat Hadeshound as he flies up into the air, and explodes as he lands. The collars on the trio then vanish. They celerate a bit as the Phangata recovers.]
HADESHOUND:
Now you are the ones in the doghouse...Phantom Growth!
[Hadeshound grows.]
WHITE RHINO JUNGLE RANGER:
Rhino Summoner! Rhino Junglezord!
[The Junglezord approaches, and the White Rhino Ranger gets in.]
Online!
[The Rhino Junglezord charges at Hadeshound with it's horn, and knocks him back.]
Megazord Formation!
[The zord forms into megazord mode.]
Rhino Megazord...Awaken!
[The Rhino Megazord and Hadeshound have a stare-down. Hadeshound then sends ring-collars to attack, and causes a lot of sparks, but the megazord prevails and uses it's sword and shield against him...and the rings, as it moves closer to the Phangata.]
Sword...Extend...Strike!
[The megazord uses it's finisher on Hadeshound, who goes down, and implodes in defeat. Hadeshound is destroyed. The White Rhino Ranger pumps his fist into the air in celebration.]
EXT.-FOREST-DAY
[Chimeres and Shawn are still hugging. A tired Shawn then collapses to the ground (landing on his butt). Draco, who is still vexed, uses a ki-created bow to shoot an arrow towards Shawn's back. Chimeres sees the danger, and protects Shawn by taking the arrow-tip. Chimeres falls.]
MASTER CHIMERES:
Nooooo!
MASTER DRACO:
You were a waste of my time, Chimeres. Good-bye forever.
[Draco vanishes as a crying Shawn embraces Chimeres, as the Phantom dies in his son's arms.]
SHAWN PATRICK:
Don't go, father! Don't go!
MASTER CHIMERES:
Son, you...must follow...our own...path. I'm...proud of...you...Red...Ranger!
[Chimeres dies as Shawn lets out a primal scream, and weeps over his fathers lifeless body. TO BE CONTINUED...]
