[Inside, Jazz' mother (Karen Russo) sits in one chair while Piper sits in another.]
KAREN RUSSO:
Well, I'm just interested in why my Jasmine chose to come here? She was a promising zookeeper, then became an activist, and now, she's here. It might be that her father was a Senator, and I was too busy out on the campaign trail to be around her, so she started to act out.
PIPER McCALL:
Jasmine will be here shortly...you can ask her then. You know...she, or her predecessor never mentioned anything about family.
[The five students enter the room.]
JAZZ RUSSO:
Mom! What are you doing here!?
KAREN RUSSO:
I came to see what my daughter was doing here.
INT.-ALMOZAR PALACE-DAY
[Draco explains to Lionix and Reptiza more about the Phantom-Spirits.]
MASTER DRACO:
You see...in the Phantom-Spirit chain of command...the leader is the Pantom Beast King...he is served by four generals...and those four generals are each served by two sub-generals, known as the Phangata...who are similar to the old Akugata.
MASTER BAZ:
In this...coffin is one of the generals...Chimeres...a Phantom Chimera-Style master.
EXT.-JUNGLE FURY ACADEMY-GROUNDS-DAY
[In a sitting area, Jazz and her mom talk about things as the guys spy on them, hiding in a bush, using binoculars.]
DILLON HARRINGTON:
I wonder what they're talking about?
OTHERS:
Sh-h-h-h!
YOSHI TANAKA:
(whispering)
Our cover will be blown!
KAREN RUSSO:
So, Jasmine...first a zookeeper...then an animal activist...then a martial arts school? What's going on!?
JAZZ RUSSO:
Mom...there's much more going on here...more than you think!
KAREN RUSSO:
Well, I would like some details!
JAZZ RUSSO:
Mom! You didn't care about what I was doing whenever you were out campaigning with dad, so why do you care so much, now?
KAREN RUSSO:
I have always cared about what you are doing, Jasmine.
JAZZ RUSSO:
Out there...I was helping animals on such a small scale...what I am doing now, can help the entire universe. I would like to tell you more...but...I can't right now.
[The alert been on the guys' morphers go off.]
SHAWN PATRICK:
Time to go.
[The guys secretly leave the area.]
INT.-ALMOZAR PALACE-DAY
[Lionix meditates while Reptiza talks to Draco.]
MASTER DRACO:
Reptiza...you are destined to learn the Phantom Phoenix-Style. In order to fully accept the Phantom-Spirit, we must combine your Dark-Spirit with my Phantom-Spirit...Phantom-Spirit Release!
REPTIZA:
Dark-Spirit Release!
[The two release their Beast-Spirit energy, and it swirls on the ground in gold and purple. Soon, the purple disappears and the gold goes back into the two beings. Reptiza then looks at her hands.]
Well...I don't...look any different...but I do feel stronger.
MASTER DRACO:
In time, you will take your new Phoenix form. Lionix...in time you too will accept your new form, and the Pantom-Spirit.
LIONIX:
I'm fine in the form I have already.
MASTER BAZ:
Lionix...you will be the next Phantom Beast King. In the meantime, those pesky rangers must be dealt with...Catostrophix...Taurmino...come forth!
[The two Phangata appear.]
Catostrophix...you're up first...go to the city, and destroy the rangers.
CATOSTROPHIX:
Yes, sir!
EXT.-CITY-DAY
[The monster's arrival sends shockwaves throughout the city causing mass destruction and chaos. The rangers (Red Fury, Blue Fury, Royal Wolf, and White Rhino) arrive.]
BLUE FURY RANGER:
There it is!
CATOSTROPHIX:
Ooh! New toys! Catostrophic Shockwave!
[Reptiza watches as the monster's skill causes more destruction, and makes the rangers flail and cover their ears. The rangers then recover and battle the monster.]
RED FURY RANGER:
You're going down!
[The monster attacks again, and overpowers the Red Ranger, who goes down hard.]
WHITE RHINO JUNGLE RANGER:
Shawn!
RED FURY RANGER:
(weakened)
I'm...okay.
BLUE FURY RANGER:
We need Jazz!
EXT.-JUNGLE FURY ACADEMY-GROUNDS-DAY
[Jazz' mom continues to try to get information from her.]
KAREN RUSSO:
Jasmine...what...is going on!?
JAZZ RUSSO:
Mom...I have responsibilities...ones that you wouldn't understand.
KAREN RUSSO:
Jasmine Erica Russo! What responsibilities?
JAZZ RUSSO:
(hesitating)
Mom...I'm...a Power Ranger. My teammates need me in the city.
[Jazz prepares to morph.]
Beast On! Fury Mode!
[Jazz morphs into the Yellow Jungle Ranger, then quickly upgrades into the Yellow Fury Ranger.]
YELLOW FURY RANGER:
Hold onto me.
[Karen grabs onto the Yellow Ranger, who uses her Fury Power to fly to the battle.]
EXT.-CITY-DAY
[The Yellow Ranger puts her mom onto a suspended walkway, then goes to join her comrades.]
YELLOW FURY RANGER:
I'm here guys, sorry I'm late...Fist of the penguin! Yellow Fury Ranger!
[The Yellow Ranger attacks the monster with her Fury Claw, then all five attack the monster. Meanwhile, Piper joins Karen on the walkway.]
KAREN RUSSO:
Doctor McCall...I didn't know she was a ranger.
PIPER McCALL:
Usually the ranger credo comes into play...of the rangers not revealing their identities, but at the academy, some circumstances are allowed.
KAREN RUSSO:
I hope she isn't in trouble on my account?
PIPER McCALL:
No...not at all.
[The monster attacks, but the rangers counter.]
CATOSTROPHIX:
Phantom Growth!
[The monsters grow.]
ALL RANGERS:
Auras...release!
[The rangers release their auras.]
ROYAL WOLF JUNGLE RANGER:
Jungle Fury Megazord! Predator Mode!
CORE RANGERS:
Beast Megazord!
WHITE RHINO JUNGLE RANGER:
Rhino Megazord!
ALL RANGERS:
Transformation complete!
[Reptiza and Flyto watch the zord battle. The three zords battle Catostrophix, who pushes the Jungle Fury Megazord away. The Rhino Megazord tries to use it's sword, but the monster punches the zord, making it spark.]
WHITE RHINO JUNGLE RANGER:
This guy's tough!
REPTIZA:
Flyto...I'm starting to feel the power of the Phantom-Spirit!
[The Beast Megazord battles Catostrophix while the other megazords recover. The monster then sucker-punches the megazord, which then goes down onto it's back.]
KAREN RUSSO:
(yelling up to the megazord)
Jasmine! Tie him up!
YELLOW FURY RANGER:
Auxiliary Aura! I summon the Elephant Junglezord!
CORE RANGERS:
Auxiliary Add-On! Armor Mode!
YELLOW FURY RANGER:
Okay...Pachy Wrecker!
[The megazord uses the 'ball and chain' to wrap up the monster, then picks it up, only to slam it down to the ground...twice. Catostrophix then recovers.]
WHITE RHINO JUNGLE RANGER:
Sword Extend Strike!
[Rhino Megazord sets up it's finisher, then is interrupted by Baz' arrival.]
MASTER BAZ:
GravCrusher!
[The Rhino Megazord suddenly loses power, and falls flat on it's face, spread eagle.]
RED FURY RANGER:
Get him!
[The Beast Megazord faces Baz, who charges his Phantom-Spirit Power, which makes the two standing megazord spark and smoke. The two megazords charge at Baz.]
MASTER BAZ:
You power pukes are so predictable! Gravity Inversion!
[The two megazords are caught by the attack, and fly miles away.]
Pathetic weaklings!
[The two Phantoms vanish, while the Rhino Megazord is still on the ground, powerless.]
REPTIZA:
The Phantom-Spirit is more powerful than the other Beast-Spirits.
INT.-JUNGLE FURY ACADEMY-CLASSROOM-DAY
[The students rest and relax after the tough battle, and ponder their new threat. Piper and Karen enter. She is concerned about her daughter.]
KAREN RUSSO:
Jasmine! Are you alright!?
JAZZ RUSSO:
A little banged up, but I'll be fine.
KAREN RUSSO:
I'm so proud of you!
[The two Russos hug.]
SHAWN PATRICK:
(crying)
So beautiful!
INT.-ALMOZAR PALACE-NIGHT
[The Phantoms come together.]
REPTIZA:
Draco...Baz...Lionix...I fully understand the Phantom-Spirit...Phantom Transformation!
[Reptiza turns into a creature with gold and green coloring.]
FYRIZA:
I am a Phantom Phoenix-Style master...I am now called...Fyriza!
[Fyriza steps toward Lionix.]
I bow to you, your highness!
[As Fyriza bows the Lionix, the lion shows some look of concern.]
