EXT.-FOREST-DAY
[The three students walk through the forest. They talk about what each would do to rescue Master Tao from Lionix.]
ABBY McHENRY:
When I get my hands on Lionix and those bug-brains, I'm gonna rip them apart!
YOSHI TANAKA:
Me too!
SHAWN PATRICK:
(climbing up a tree)
To rescue the Sensei, I'll climb up here, then drop on him like this!
[Shawn jumps down as three beings approach them.]
MASTER GORI:
You will not do any of the sort until you get proper training.
ALL STUDENTS:
What?
[The three students insta-morph, thinking that their new allies are really Akugata sent by Lionix.]
RED JUNGLE RANGER:
Where's Sensei Tao!?
MASTER GYUZA:
If you had the Fury Power already, you wouldn't have lost him.
MISTRESS PENGI:
That's right.
BLUE JUNGLE RANGER:
How dare you! We go beaten by Lionix...a Dark Lion-Style warrior.
YELLOW JUNGLE RANGER:
One who is more powerful than us.
RED JUNGLE RANGER:
Let's go everyone!
ALL RANGERS:
Power up!
[The three rangers battle the three beings...the Blue Ranger battles Pengi with his Jungle Staffs, the Yellow Ranger uses her Jungle Staffs in Bo Mode against Gori, and the Red Ranger battles Gyazu. They battle for a few minutes until Piper calls the rangers on their morphers.]
voice of PIPER McCALL:
Rangers...the three beings that you are battling are Light-Spirit Masters sent to train you to get the Fury Power to rescue Master Tao.
RED JUNGLE RANGER:
What!?
INT.-ALMOZAR PALACE-HOLDING CELL AREA-DAY
[Reptiza watches over Tao as Lionix enters.]
INT.-JUNGLE FURY ACADEMY-TRAINING ROOM-DAY
[The three new Light-Spirit Masters properly introduce themselves to everyone.]
PIPER McCALL:
Masters...this is Shawn Patrick, the Red Ranger...Yoshi Tanaka, the Blue Ranger...and Abby McHenry, the Yellow Ranger.
MASTER GORI:
I am Master Gori...a Light Gorilla-Style master.
MASTER GYAZU:
I am Master Gyazu...a Light Gazelle-Style master.
MISTRESS PENGI:
And I am Mistress Pengi...a Light Penguin-Style master.
PIPER McCALL:
And I am Doctor Piper McCall...the technical advisor to the Jungle Fury Academy...welcome all.
MASTER GORI:
(handing Shawn a Fury Claw)
Here Shawn...hold this. This is your Fury Claw. In order to utilize it's full potential, you three must achieve the Fury Power. To obtain the powers and all that come with it, you must train with us. Shawn...you are first.
INT.-JUNGLE FURY ACADEMY-TEA HOUSE-DAY
[Gori challenges Shawn to a coin-stacking exercise.]
SHAWN PATRICK:
What's this, Sensei?
MASTER GORI:
You must stack these ten coins.
SHAWN PATRICK:
(stacking them on their "faces.")
Easy!
MASTER GORI:
(standing the coins on their edges)
This is how it is done, young tiger.
[Shawn tries it, but has trouble doing so.]
ABBY McHENRY:
Come on, Shawn! You can do it! Give it your heart!
[Shawn tries again, then gets frustrated after e sees that Gori stacked all of his coins. Shawn walks out of the tea ouse to it's patio deck.]
YOSHI TANAKA:
Shawn! You lost the challenge! Now we won't get Master Tao back!
ABBY McHENRY:
Yoshi! Stop it! We don't know that!
MISTRESS PENGI:
Yes, rangers...we do not know that for sure. But for now, Abby...it's your turn...let's go.
EXT.-CITY-SKATE PARK-DAY
[Both Pengi and Abby don protective gear to go skateboarding on a half-pipe ramp while the others watch.]
ABBY McHENRY:
Skateboarding!?
MISTRESS PENGI:
Yes. This will teach you technique
YOSHI TANAKA:
Technique!? You can do it, Abby!
[Pengi starts off first. She goes back-and-forth, up-and-down, catching air each time. She then performs a rapid spin move on top, then finishes when she comes down to the bottom. The point counter rings up a one hundred.]
MISTRESS PENGI:
Your turn.
[Abby begins. She does well at first, but falls off and rolls down to the bottom of the ramp. The others rush to her aid as the point counter rings up a zero.]
YOSHI TANAKA:
Abby! Are you okay!?
ABBY McHENRY:
Yeah! Sensei...mind if I try that again?
MISTRESS PENGI:
Of course.
[Abby tries again, and catches air on each trip to the top of the ramp, and also does some tricks.]
ABBY McHENRY:
Gotta have technique!
[At the top of the pipe, Abby performs a rapid spin move, then comes down to the bottom. The point counter rings up a one hundred, thus making the session a draw.]
MISTRESS PENGI:
Good job, Abby. It's a draw!
INT.-ALMOZAR PALACE-HOLDING CELL AREA-DAY
[Lionix and Reptiza are with Tao.]
LIONIX:
Do you really believe tat your rangers will obtain the Fury Power in time?
MASTER TAO:
I have faith in them...Jordan...
[Lionix gives an angered look at Tao.]
...Just like how I had faith in you.
LIONIX:
Silence! Soon, the Light-Spirits will be annihilated, and they will have you to thank for it!
EXT.-JUNGLE FURY ACADEMY-TRAINING GROUNDS-NIGHT
[Two light towers turn on as Yoshi prepares to face Gyazu as Gori mans the scoreboard and the others watch. The two have flags tied to their arms.]
MASTER GYAZU:
Okay, Yoshi...this will be a battle of endurance...to see your unbreakable body. To win, you need to capture my flag...but if I get yours, I win, and the challenge will be over.
[Yoshi insta-morphs into the Blue Ranger.]
BLUE JUNGLE RANGER:
Fair enough.
[The Blue Ranger tries some fast moves, but is bested by Gyazu, who catches and throws him down. The Blue Ranger tries again.]
Okay...you're tough!
[The Blue Ranger gets beat again when Gyazu punches and kicks him. The Blue Ranger grabs a pole and gives himself a pep talk.]
Come on! I cannot...no...I will...not...give up!
[Gyazu performs an Air Kick, which knocks the Blue Ranger out of morph.]
SHAWN PATRICK:
Yoshi! Get up!
[Yoshi stands up, then runs and tackles Gyazu several times, but Gyazu still beats him. Yoshi staggers toward Gyazu, who kicks Yoshi in the head. Yoshi goes down into a mud puddle, then Gyazu stomps on his chest.]
YOSHI TANAKA:
(in pain)
Must...win!
[Yoshi takesGyazu down, and the two "roll wrestle" on the ground, then delivers an Air Kick to Gyazu, then punches him to take the flag. Yoshi claims victory as the sun rises upon a new day. Yoshi then collapses in exhaustion, and celebrates with the others.]
SHAWN PATRICK:
We WILL get Master Tao back...that's a promise!
INT.-ALMOZAR PALACE-HOLDING CELL AREA-DAY
[To scare Tao, Lionix throws off some Dark-Spirit energy but Tao protects himself with some Light-Spirit energy.]
LIONIX:
Time to go, Tao...it's been three days.
EXT.-JUNGLE FURY ACADEMY-TRAINING GROUNDS-DAY
[The three students and three Light-Spirit Masters gather around.]
MASTER GORI:
You three did very well...Master Tao would be pleased...and so are we.
MASTER GYAZU:
Yoshi...you won. You defeated me fair and square.
SHAWN PATRICK:
(sniffing the air)
Guys...Lionix is waiting for us.
MASTER GORI:
(as he and the other Light-Spirit Masters hand over the Fury Claws)
These are yours...you've earned them.
MISTRESS PENGI:
Bring Master Tao back for us!
SHAWN PATRICK:
We will!
[Shawn turns to the others.]
Come on guys...let's go rescue Master Tao!
[The three students run off to the battlefield.]
