INT.-MOUNTAINS-POWER CENTER-DAY
[Seated on a wooden stool in front of a world map (with Armenia highlighted in red) is Jake's actor, Jake Lindesay. He opens the episode with a narration.]
JAKE LINDESAY:
Hi...I'm Jake Lindesay...I play Jake Garabedian, the Green Defender Ranger on Power Rangers: Nitro Defenders. Jake's heritage on the show is Armenian. Today's episode deals with Jake's Great-Grandparents, who struggled, and ultimately succumbed to what was then the Ottoman Empire during what came to be known as the Armenian Genocide, that began on April twenty-fourth, nineteen-fifteen. Over one million, five hundred thousand Armenian citizens were executed by what is now the country of Turkey, just because of who they were...Armenian. To this day, Turkey refuses to acknowledge their participation in the genocide.

INT.-CITY-DOJO-DAY
[On a sunny mid-spring day, four of the "ranger teens" are getting the dojo ready to open or the day. Jake then walks in looking dejected, and everyone notices.]
KEIKO OGAWA:
Jake...what's wrong?
[The team surrounds him.]
JAKE GARABEDIAN:
I don't want to talk about it...it's a very sad day for my family, and the land of my ancestors.
[Jake gets up, and leaves the dojo, leaving everyone puzzled.]
RYDER SWANSON:
What was that all about!?
ADAM PARK:
Guys...I'm going to the Power Center to check on something. I'll be back in a bit.
[Adam teleports out of the dojo.]
INT.-MOUNTAINS-POWER CENTER-DAY
[Adam teleports in, and moves to the personal computer, which has Internet access, and looks up Jake's dossier for any clues to the reason why he is acting the way he is.]
ALPHA SIX:
What's wrong with Jake, Adam?
ADAM PARK:
He came into to work in a depressed mood...when asked what was wrong, he left.
[Adam turns to the computer, and sees Jake's vitals...he's Armenian.]
He did say that it was a sad time for his family, and the land of his ancestors. Global...is there any significance to Armenia, and today's date?
GLOBAL:
Affirmative. On April twenty-fourth, nineteen-fifteen, was the beginning of what is today know as the Armenian Genocide.
[Adam goes online, and conducts a search on a search engine, and finds out the story of the genocide.]
ADAM PARK:
That was ninety-four years ago today...Global, was any of Jake's extended family involved?
GLOBAL:
That is unknown.
ZORDON:
Adam...it is up to Jake to tell you and the other rangers his story, when he feels the time is right.
ADAM PARK:
You're right, Zordon.
INT.-MECHANICO ISLAND-DAY
[Yogo and Metalia relax, but Argo is going a bit stir crazy.]
ARGO:
I'm sick and tired of the Machine Beasts losing all the time to those power pests! I'm gonna go into the city, and take care of them myself! Gearoids! Follow me!
[Argo and about one hundred Gearoids depart for the city.]
INT.-MOUNTAINS-POWER CENTER-DAY
[Adam helps Alpha with some maintenance on the computers when Global's alarms ring out. The main viewer depicts Argo and one hundred Gearoids causing chaos in the city.]
ADAM PARK:
I'm contacting the rangers, now!
[Adam presses a few buttons.]
Rangers...trouble in downtown. Argo and a hundred Gearoids are attacking.
voice of RYDER SWANSON:
Jake is still gone, but we're on our way!
ADAM PARK:
Global...locate Jake's morpher.
GLOBAL:
Search complete...he is in the park near the Peace Monument. It is safe to teleport.
ADAM PARK:
The other rangers are en-route to the city...I'm gonna go talk to Jake.
[Adam teleports out.]
EXT.-CITY-DAY
[The four "ranger teens" arrive, and quickly go into battle.]
RYDER SWANSON:
Let's scrap these tin-cans!
[The four start to battle the Gearoids.]
ARGO:
Since those pests are pre-occupied...
[Argo starts to attack the innocent citizens. The Gearoids start to gain the upper hand.]
RYDER SWANSON:
Let's take it up to the next level...
ALL FOUR:
(preparing their morphers)
Start Up!
[The suits "flash-form" over the quartet. They then continue to battle the Gearoids with their Nitrolizers in Baton Mode.]
EXT.-CITY-PARK-PEACE MONUMENT-DAY
[Jake is sitting on the grass in front of the monument. Adam then teleports in, and sits next to Jake.]
ADAM PARK:
Hey, Jake...let's talk.
EXT.-CITY-DAY
[The four rangers continue to battle the Gearoids. The Red Ranger notices Argo harassing the citizens, and takes action.]
RED NITRO RANGER:
Oh, no! Nitrolizer...Blaster Mode!
[The Red Ranger charges at Argo, who promptly shoves him to the ground with an energy blast from his palm.]
ARGO:
Pansy!
[The other three rangers are getting overwhelmed by the Gearoids. Four Gearoids surround the Red Ranger, as the other three are surrounded by four Gearoids each...the four rangers are captured, and try to break free, but cannot.]
Weaklings! Don't even try to escape...resistance is futile!
INT.-MOUNTAINS-POWER CENTER-DAY
[Zordon and Alpha see the plight of the four rangers.]
ZORDON:
Alpha...lock onto their Super Nitro Cells, and activate their security feature, then contact Adam.
ALPHA SIX:
Yes, Zordon.
EXT.-CITY-PARK-PEACE MONUMENT-DAY
[Adam and Jake continue to sit on the grass.]
ADAM PARK:
Jake...I know what today is. Is there anything I can do?
JAKE GARABEDIAN:
April twenty-fourth...nineteen-fifteen. Over a million and a half Armenians were...harassed and killed by the Ottoman Empire...which is today the country of Turkey...just because of their race. My Great-Grandparents were victims. Today is the ninety-fourth anniversary.
ADAM PARK:
Jake, if you're down, you have a lot of shoulders that you can lean on for support.
[Adam's communicator beeps.]
voice of ALPHA SIX:
Adam...Jake is desperately needed in the city...Argo has captured the other rangers!
ADAM PARK:
He's on his way...and I'm heading there too.
[Jake looks around to see if the coast is clear to morph, then prepares his morpher.]
JAKE GARABEDIAN:
Thanks, Adam! Start Up!
[The suit "fully-forms" over Jake.]
EXT.-CITY-WAREHOUSE-DAY
[Argo taunts the four captured rangers, then realizes that he only has four of the five.]
ARGO:
You rangers will make excellent Gearoids! Wait...where's the green one?
[The Green Ranger and Adam leap in.]
GREEN DEFENDER RANGER:
Right here!
ARGO:
Excellent!
ADAM PARK:
Hey, yo...motor-mouth! Remember me?
ARGO:
You!
GREEN DEFENDER RANGER:
Ready to go to work?
ADAM PARK:
In a sec...
[Adam pulls out his old Zeonizer, and straps both pieces on to each wrist.]
...I think I got one more morph is these...It's Morphin' Time!
[Adam puts the two pieces of Zeonizer together.]
Zeo Ranger Four...Green!
[The suit forms up Adam's body.]
GREEN ZEO RANGER:
Come on, Jake...it's time we Green Rangers stick together!
[Both Green Rangers charge at Argo.]
ARGO:
Gearoids!
[An army of Gearoids teleport in. The two Green Rangers stop to prepare for an apparent onslaught.]
GREEN ZEO RANGER:
Jake...you go after the Gearoids...I'll handle Argo!
[The two Green Rangers go their separate ways to accomplish their tasks.]
Zeo Power Axes!
[The Green Zeo Ranger goes after Argo.]
GREEN DEFENDER RANGER:
Nitrolizer...Blaster Mode! Orca Axe!
[The Green Zeo Ranger sees the other rangers chained up to a thick pillar as the Green Defender Ranger battles the Gearoids, by firing his weapon at them.]
GREEN ZEO RANGER:
You're mine, Argo!
ARGO:
Really!?
[Argo uses his staff to fire a blast at Adam to knock him down, and out of morph.]
ADAM PARK:
Whoa!
[Adam looks at his Zeonizers...they're toast.]
Well, so much for that!
ARGO:
Give up, human!
ADAM PARK:
Not a chance, Argo...once a ranger...
[Adam performs his famous roundhouse kick on Argo to knock him back.]
...Always a ranger!
[During the two battles, the four captured rangers discover that the chains were hit, and are able to escape. They join the Green Ranger's side.]
ALL FOUR:
Nitro Gear!
[The five rangers have their Nitro Gear.]
ALL RANGERS:
Put 'em together!
[The rangers put their weapons together.]
Nitro Defender Cannon! Fire!
[Argo goes flying backward, but quickly recovers.]
ARGO:
You may have beaten me this time...but I will be back, and then you won't be as lucky, rangers!
[Argo teleports out.]
RED NITRO RANGER:
We'll be ready, Argo! Let's all get back to the dojo.
ALL RANGERS:
(while removing their Nitro Cells from their morphers)
Shutdown!
[The suits vanish from the quintet.]
INT.-CITY-DOJO-DAY
[The five "ranger teens" and Adam are sitting around a large, round table, enjoying tall glasses of smoothies.]
JAKE GARABEDIAN:
Hey, guys...look...I'm sorry about the way I acted earlier today...
RYDER SWANSON:
It's okay, Jake...Adam filled us in.
KEIKO OGAWA:
We all have our ad days, Jake.
MATT SANDOVAL:
Yeah, I remember when I was a rookie on the force, I stopped a car for a small traffic violation...only to find out that the driver was the chief...my boss!
JAKE GARABEDIAN:
Thanks, guys. I do feel better, now.
RYDER SWANSON:
(holding up his glass)
I propose a toast...
[Everyone holds up their glasses to toast.]
...To better days ahead!
[Everyone clanks their glasses together.]
ALL:
Yeah!
