[Jake is sitting at a table in an empty dojo arranging flowers for table centerpieces. Matt walks in, and turns on the television.]
voice of TV ANNOUNCER:
In other news...former one-time stock car racing champion, Ryder Swanson steps in to race for the injured driver, who had crashed last week. In entertainment news, Miramax Records has signed up-in-coming singer, Keiko Ogawa to a contract. Meanwhile, on the newest popular game show, contestant Brandon Crawford is continuing his run as a quizmaster.
JAKE GARAEDIAN:
I didn't know that they're doing that stuff!?
MATT SANDOVAL:
They're not! I think something's up.
voice of TV ANNOUNCER:
This just in...former pizzeria employee, Jakob Garabedian has been named heir to the fortune of Andrew Hartford. More on this as it becomes available.
JAKE GARABEDIAN:
(as he runs out)
I'm gonna be rich!
INT.-MECHHANICO ISLAND-DAY
[The three generals talk...the like what their Machine Beast is doing, but have reservations.]
METALIA:
Are you sure this plan will work? I don't like seeing those rangers...so goody-goody-happy!
YOGO:
The plan will work...give it time.
ARGO:
Freqwave...proceed to draw out the Black Ranger!
INT.-CITY-DOJO-DAY
[Matt continues to doubt the TV announcer.]
voice of TV ANNOUNCER:
And on the police blotter...former Angel Grove Police Department officer Mateo Sandoval is wanted by his former peers on charges that he robbed a convenience market.
MATT SANDOVAL:
What!?
[All of a sudden, a dozen police officers enter the dojo, with their hands on on their gun holsters.]
AGPD OFFICER #1:
Come with us quietly, Matt!
MATT SANDOVAL:
I didn't do anything! I gotta help my friends!
AGPD OFFICER #2:
Don't resist, Matt!
[Matt runs out of the dojo.]
EXT.-CITY-DAY
[Matt continues to run from the police, and tries to find a place to contact the others.]
MATT SANDOVAL:
Ryder...Brandon...Keiko...Jake! Anybody there!?
voice of ZORDON:
We are here, Matt. The Machine Beast's signals are interfering with other signals. I cannot risk teleporting you here. I am afraid that you are on your own right now. Be careful and may the power protect you.
voice of ALPHA SIX:
Adam, Zordon, and I will help you from here as much as we can..
MATT SANDOVAL:
Where are the bogus television signals coming from?
ADAM PARK:
The K-A-G studios in mid-town. Be careful...it is fortified by dozens of Gearoids and Cogs.
MATT SANDOVAL:
Right...
[The police start to converge on Matt.]
...Gotta go!
[Matt goes to see Keiko.]
EXT.-CITY-SHIDEX PLAZA-DAY
[Throngs of spectators await Keiko to take an outdoor stage. Several Gearoids in disguise guard her as Matt arrives.]
KEIKO OGAWA:
Keiko here, saying...welcome!
[Matt tries to get Keiko's attention, but the crowd clambers all over her, and drowns Matt's voice. Matt then departs for the television station.]
INT.-CITY-TELEVISION STATION-STUDIO C-DAY
[The game show that Brandon is taking part in is between tapings. Matt gets Brandon's attention, and meet in the corridor.]
MATT SANDOVAL:
Brandon...what are you doing?
BRANDON CRAWFORD:
I'm the number one champion in the show!
MATT SANDOVAL:
No, Brandon...you are the only champion of a fake game show. You and I are Power Rangers!
[Two police officers arrive.]
AGPD OFFICER #2:
There he is!
[Matt runs out of the television station.]
INT.-MECHANICO ISLAND-DAY
[Argo is pleased.]
ARGO:
Good work, Freqwave! Proceed to stage two!
EXT.-CITY-SHIDEX PLAZA-DAY
[The outdoor television monitors depict the TV announcer telling the engrossed mass of citizens an announcement.]
TV ANNOUNCER:
Breaking news from K-M-E-N, the new call sign for K-A-G...a new law has been passed that allows factories to release ten times the emission pollutants into the air.
INT.-SAN ANGELES-HARTFORD MANOR-DAY
[Jake sees to his apparent inheritance. He rings the doorbell to the huge mansion.]
SPENCER:
Ah, do come in, Mister Garabedian...Master Hartford has been waiting or you.
ANDREW HARTFORD:
Ah, Jake! Welcome. Let's go into my office to sign some papers, and discuss things.
[Jake and Andrew go into the office as Spencer goes back to his duties.]
JAKE GARABEDIAN:
So, why am I here? You're my friend's uncle!
ANDREW HARTFORD:
Ah, yes...how is Ryder doing?
[The doorbell rings again, and Spencer answers the door...it's Matt.]
SPENCER:
Mister Garabedian...there is a Mister Sandoval here. He wishes to speak to you outside.
[Jake goes outside to talk to Matt.]
EXT.-SAN ANGELES-HARTFORD MANOR-DAY
[Matt tries to get through to Jake.]
MATT SANDOVAL:
Jake...come on! We have to ranger up to save the planet!
JAKE GARABEDIAN:
No way, Matt...
[Jake opens the door to the mansion, and starts to enter.]
...Being rich is way better than being some Power Ranger...It's been nice knowing you, Matt.
[Jake goes inside and shuts the door. Matt only has a minute to feel down before the San Angeles Police Department swarms Hartford's property.]
SAPD OFFICER:
Freeze!
MATT SANDOVAL:
Don't you need a search warrant to come on this property?
[Matt is able to duck the police and get back to Angel Grove.]
EXT.-CITY-DAY
[The TV announcer announces another new law to the entranced crowd.]
TV ANNOUNCER:
And this just in...another new law has been passed where it is now legal to dump your garbage anywhere...that's right...it is now legal to litter. Because of this new law, the Sanitation Department no longer exists! Don't give a hoot...pollute!
EXT.-CITY-PARK-DAY
[Matt returns to the city, only to find citizens dumping trash and littering.]
MATT SANDOVAL:
Hey! What are you doing!? That's littering!
CITIZEN:
Not anymore! A new law was passed.
[Matt is now officially ticked off at the Machine Empire as the citizen departs. Matt then runs to the racetrack.]
INT.-CITY-RACETRACK-DAY
[Matt sees Ryder racing around the track in a practice run, and having fun.]
MATT SANDOVAL:
It's no use...I got to get back to the T-V Station.
[Matt's morpher beeps.]
voice of ADAM PARK:
Matt...the signals are coming from the roof of the T-V Station...and it is definitely a Machine Beast.
MATT SANDOVAL:
Got it!
[Matt departs for the television station.]
INT.-MECHANICO ISLAND-DAY
[Argo gives Freqwave another command.]
ARGO:
Freqwave...I want you to get them to increase the C-O-Two levels in the atmosphere by twenty fold. I want them to choke to death on the carbon gasses!
EXT.-CITY-TELEVISION STATION-ROOF-DAY
[Matt arrives, and confronts the Machine Beast.]
MATT SANDOVAL:
Hey, Freaky! Analog is out...morphing is in!
[Matt prepares his morpher.]
Start Up!
[The suit "flash-forms" over Matt. The Black Ranger kicks Freqwave in his dish face, then the Machine Beast gets the best of the Black Ranger, and electrocutes him off of one rooftop down to another.]
INT.-MOUNTAINS-POWER CENTER-DAY
[Alpha continues to try to contact the others.]
ALPHA SIX:
Aye-yi-yi! It's no use! I can't get trough to them!
EXT.-CITY-DAY
[Freqwave continues to battle the Black Ranger.]
FREQWAVE:
Satellite Shower!
[Freqwave extends his arms to the sky, the puts them down, confusing the ranger.]
You're in for a real series finale, Black Ranger!
[Bolts of lightning rain down, and hit the Black Ranger, knocking him to the ground, and a forced de-morph.]
OFFICER:
There he is!
[A group of police officers swarm the still smoking Matt, and slap handcuffs on him, to take his into custody.]
FREQWAVE:
Camera crew! Catch that ranger's arrest! I want a live broadcast!
[Two Gearoids use video equipment to film Matt being arrested by the Angel Grove Police Department. The others see the footage, and are in disbelief. The four rush to Matt's aid.]
MATT SANDOVAL:
Arrgh! I didn't do anything! I'm innocent!
AGPD OFFICER #1:
That's what they all say!
[Matt breaks free just as the other four arrive.]
RYDER SWANSON:
Guys...Matt wouldn't do anything...he is a brother officer to you. Now, get everyone out of here.
[The officers leave to get the citizens to safety.]
Ready, everyone!?
[The team prepares their morphers.]
FREQWAVE:
Looks like I'll have to destroy you the old-fashioned way!
ALL:
Start Up!
[The suits "fully-form" over the quintet.]
ALL RANGERS:
(posing with colored smoke then a fireball explosion behind them)
Power Rangers: Nitro Defenders, Let's Go!
RED NITRO RANGER:
Let's turn down this clown!
ALL RANGERS:
Nitro Gear!
[The five rangers press the "G" symbol on their belt buckles to make the chest symbols glow, producing the weapons. The five take hold of the gear, and put them together.]
Nitro Defender Cannon!
BLACK DEFENDER RANGER:
Here's your test pattern! Fire!
[The blast hits the monster to knock it down.]
ALL RANGERS:
Yes!
[Freqwave's Industrial Revolution releases his Banki Energy, and revives the Machine Beast as a giant.]
RED NITRO RANGER:
(into his morpher)
Alpha...send the zords!
[Soon, all six zords (Orca and Canine ride on top of Gator) approach the battlefield, and the rangers get in, and buckle up.]
RED NITRO RANGER AND BLACK DEFENDER RANGER:
{split-screened}
Megazord mode!
[In the split screen, the Nitro Megazord and the Defender Megazord are formed. The split-screen then vanishes.]
ALL RANGERS:
You're about to be canceled! Grand Prix!
[Both megazords perform their finishers to scrap the monster.]
FREQWAVE:
(as he goes down)
This concludes our broadcast day!
[Freqwave collapses and explodes. The frequency spell dissipates throughout the city. The rangers celebrate.]
INT.-MECHANICO ISLAND-DAY
[The villains react after yet another defeat.]
METALIA:
Another one bites the dust!
[Metalia and Argo bicker.]
YOGO:
Silence!
INT.-CITY-DOJO-DAY
[The quintet relaxes a bit at the dojo at a table near the juice bar.]
KEIKO OGAWA:
Here's our smoothies, guys!
MATT SANDOVAL:
(after taking a sip)
Ah, that's good! Hey, guys...thanks or coming through for me.
RYDER SWANSON:
Anytime, Matt...anytime!
